He only found 1 daily double and that was his first pick so he could only bet a $1000. She got the other ones and she didn’t miss an answer.
He really didn’t have a chance. Smart people, no one got a question wrong until late when that middle guy was just buzzing in to chase the other two.

True. But nobody beats this guy on the buzz in. He’s faster than everyone. And not only was she beating him on the buzzer, the guy was too. Just saying.

I don't know how people are still confused by this. If you have the lead going into final jeopardy, you will bet enough to guarantee victory with a correct response 99 percent of the time. James knew this so he wagered an amount worth enough to stay in front of the 3rd place guy. Regardless he still needs her to miss to win. The only way this could backfire is if she decided to risk nothing knowing James is thinking ahead of the game. But that's not really a chance worth taking for her.

no,he would have lost anyway

I watched the show anyway even with the spoiler ruining the suspense.

I could be wrong, I once was !

According to my brief notes, going into Final Jeopardy

Emma 26,600
James 23,400
Jay 11,000

It's all about winning the game, I'm sure none of them give a shit about finishing 2nd for 2k or 3rd for 1k, 1k couldn't possibly mean much to these people !

Bet sizing in Jeopardy is a key element to the game

These people that get on the show are all very intelligent people with knowledge about things that span from English literature to chemistry to history to sitcoms and beyond...

Continued in a few moments

If he makes a large wager he now puts himself in a position where he needs to hit a 2 game parlay. He gets it right and she gets it wrong. By wagering what he did he only needed her to get it wrong.

This. Staying in front of 3rd place was his best shot at winning.

I didn't see this. He normally is faster. I would say it was pretty even today as to who buzzed in first. I don't think either of the other two contestants were faster. In fact if I had to guess I would say James had more responses then either of the other contestants. Nobody got a wrong answer the whole day I believe and only one clue went unanswered.

He just lost. Plain and simple. Nothing fishy.

The girl (and other guy) were just good today. James would still beat them the majority of the time. The main difference is the girl hit both daily doubles in the second round which accounted for about 10,000 (my guess) THAT IS THE MAIN DIFFERENCE. James hit the daily double on the first clue of the day for $1000 which had zero value (other then only him being able to answer)

His wagering in the final round was perfect. The only way he would win is if she got it wrong. His bet amount made it so the only thing he needed was her to be wrong. It didn't matter if he would have answered correctly or not and it made it so the 3rd place guy couldn't catch him if both James and the girl were wrong. I can't believe you guys would even doubt this guys wager amount. That is what he does, he is an expect with stuff like that.

He just lost. He still had the most right answers. She was just great and got a little lucky getting the daily doubles. He didn't "lose" She just "won"

That Emma female, pulled a total JJ on JJ by going all in on the 2nd DD and snatching the lead !

I believe there are only 3 Dad's in the game.

JJ had the misfortune of finding one on the first question of the day negating his strategy of basically catching all 3 doubles, going all in on the first one, and building an almost insurmountable lead in the first third of the show, before even the first commercial.

Sure there is some level of skill in working the buzzer the bestest, but realistically that's the easiest part of the game.

Knowing obscure shit like the longest river in Italy is insane, the colors of the flag of Portugal, how many moons Saturn has, who the vice president was when Ulesseyes Grant was ,in office, questions about modern stuff like (C)- rap music, telivision sitcoms, movies I never even heard of !...

Who knows that stuff ?

I sure don't

People like James and Emma do !

Honestly on my best Jeopardy day ,I might know 10-15% of the answers, that hardly means I'd buzz in first.

I am not stupid, but these people would destroy me like Mike Tyson in his prime if I were fool enough to step in the ring with him in his prime ( or now ) , with zero experience, I might have a prayer of a chance against a Danny Bonaduce type, but even that would be a bad bet on me at 1,000 :1

I will be interested to see today's show. Does Emma copy the James process and start at the bottom of the board and skip around? Or do we go back to the pre-James Jeopardy of contestants almost always starting at the top of a category and moving downward and then on to the next category?

[h=1]JEOPARDY JAMES The #33 LOSER[/h]
Youtube it.

Emma -- put the mm's upside down and get 33. Marlowe 33.

Check the video.

Those who don't know anything about freemasonry will be clueless on this, but there's always a time to get started and educated on the subject.

Feel bad for those believing the whole charade.
