I missed that one, Sunny !

James will go down eventually, his all in/ no limit style fail at some point, he will go down to zero and somebody will edge him out

It doesn't really matter he will capitalize his fame as " Jeopardy James" into something much larger, losing now means little !

I think he breaks that Ken guy's record for total winnings , but not his 74 game streak, he's too wild, he knows what he is doing and has a Post-Jeopardy plan !

yes his opponents know what its gonna take to beat him. A) extremely smart B) press like james does on DD's. he was getting smoked on thursday like 19k to 6+k his opponent went all in on the DD in the 1st round, got it right then did it again in the 2nd round and got it right. if he would have found the last DD he could have knocked him off. but james got like 2k correct then found the 2nd DD and went all in to close the gap to like 3k and then went on a run to grab the lead and of course got the final question correct. but thats the only way he is gonna lose. the guy who lost to him would have won in any other show.

How would the bookies book jeopardy with this guy such a prohibitive favorite? I guess contestant 2 +25K and contestant 3 +25k? Is that enough to get any action on the challengers?

A new record

James 130k
Scott 13k
Monica 12k

A win by 115k +, has to be a record!

That's 28 straight wins and 2.2 million dollars

Dude didn't have a cakewalk this time

James 59,381
Sara 16,801
Jimbob 10

Worthy opponents

A missed daily double or something could easily derail the James train. These other people on Jeopardy are also highly intelligent people, you don't get on this show by being an idiot

That Ken Jennings guy with the 74 game streak wants no part of playing JJ. He's only 45 and already making age related excuses for losing to Jeopardy James in a likely future matchup, 11 years older , big deal !

He wants his 30 year old brain back from 2004 !

I'll admit I was mentally a bit sharper at 30, than I now am at 55, but nothing drastically different. I might forget something like a name of someone I haven't seen in years and happen to bump into, or a phone number that used to be memorized, it always comes back later.

I never miss an appointment, or other important stuff

I am terrified of developing Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia since my mother had that and I had to deal with it for many years

A mind is a terrible thing to lose

It was pure hell, I never could have got through that without the help of my first Xwife, if I ever were to hit the lottery big , she'd get a good chunk of it, probably putting in her daughter's names in some fashion, I'll figure that shit out when I win and follow the advice of my attorneys

Viral ‘Jeopardy!’ clip appears to show James Holzhauer’s defeat

A video clip appearing to show “Jeopardy!” phenom James Holzhauer’s historic run come to an end made the rounds Sunday on social media.

The minute-long snippet — believed to be a leaked clip from an episode expected to air on Monday — picks up as the contestants reveal their responses in the Final Jeopardy segment, and ends with the 34-year-old professional gambler in an unfamiliar position: Second place, trailing leader Emma Boettcher by $3,200.

Though Holzhauer offered the correct response — “Who is [16th-century English playwright] Kit Marlowe?” — the Las Vegas resident bet an uncharacteristically low sum.

“His wager, a modest one for the first time,” said an audibly surprised Alex Trebek, as it was revealed that Holzhauer had bet a conservative $1,399, bumping his score from $23,400 to $24,799.

Boettcher, who led with $26,600, sealed the deal and her place in game-show lore by also acing Final Jeopardy, wagering $20,201 to net a total of $46,801 — along with gasps from Trebek and the audience.

“Oh gosh! What a payday,” exclaimed Trebek, as Holzhauer strolled across the podium to give the giant-killer a sporting high-five. “What a game! Oh my gosh!”

The apparent stumble cuts down Holzhauer after a mind-boggling 32 consecutive wins, good for a total haul of $2,464,216, including the $2,000 he would receive for finishing second on Monday’s episode.

He comes up short, however, of besting legend Ken Jennings, who notched 74 wins good for $2,520,700 in 2004 — and marveled at Holzhauer’s run as “astounding.”

The apparently leaked clip first started making the rounds on social media on Sunday, eventually drawing copyright strikes from Sony Pictures, which produces “Jeopardy!”

Neither Sony nor Holzhauer immediately responded to requests for comment on the clip.
