OK Enfuego, let me ask you this. If a guy comes into my house to rob me and i hit him with a 2x4. Does he have the right to shoot me and claim self defense?

But, to answer your question, the answer is "of course not." The guy with the 2x4 was committing a felony and had no right to self defense.

OK, I will try a new scenario. 2 guys are at a bar and have words. They take it outside and start fighting. The guy who is getting his ass kicked pulls out a gun and shoots the other, is that self defense?

This new scenario you describe is not what happened either. Zimmerman and witnesses say Martin attacked him. There was no mutual fight taking place. Zimmerman was on the ground attempting to defend himself. There is no debating this.

I will say that I do not think Zimmerman will be convicted, but I also dont think he will get off. I think there will be a hung jury. I dont think Zimmerman is blameless in this incident. He obviously went after the kid because if what he looked like, not because of what he was doing.

What do you mean "went after the kid?" Because he followed him? Just trying to clarify.

Yes because he got out of the car and followed him. Didnt mean for it to sound like he threw the first punch

Zimmerman also should have never had been there, he was instructed to stay in his car.

He was not instructed to stay in his car. The 911 dispatcher, when Zimmerman told him he was following Marin, told him "you don't need to do that."

He's a neighborhood watch guy. There is no law that says you can't follow a guy in your neighborhood because you feel he looks suspicious.

Although he was told not to follow him, but we wont go there. Is there any possibility that Martin felt threatened and was defending himself? Can they both claim self defense? Here is where my issue is, it was Zimmermans decision making that caused this entire incident, its very difficult for me to call him innocent.

I would agree with you until he turned around to walk back to his truck and was jumped from behind. At that point, Martin became the aggressor in the situation.

But I seriously doubt he had "murder" on his mind.

CBS) A former neighbor of George Zimmerman testified he saw two men in a "tussle" outside his home the night of Feb. 26, 2012, and said he now believes the person on top in the altercation - which would moments later turn fatal - was Trayvon Martin.
In key testimony, he also said he believes George Zimmerman was the person yelling for help.

If anybody thinks this jury is going to convict Zimm for murder based on the last two witttnesses has to be a fuckin lunitic or black ass kissin pinko leftist.

The officer on the scene testified that Zimmerman told him he was yelling for help and nobody would help him. Zimmerman actually told the officer twice once on the way to the patrol car and once again at the patrol car that he was yelling for help according to the officer's testimony.
