saying tubby left on his own is pretty lol. Also, I am under no illusions about the shittiness of the big ten in football and OSU being annually overrated. I get to see with my very own eyes every week.

Im curious as to what it is Gillispie did off the court? The guy just has that face of being a giant douche though. Sorta like Greg Popovich on the Spurs. Dont know anything about him personally but he just looks like a douche @):mad:

Pops is actually one of the better coaches to interview in the League. He has always been nice to me.

Several incidents.
If I have time, I will do a write up on them ... but it might take a while.

Yea Ok

Pitino left for money and Tubby left on his own. Billy made this decision easy with his off court behavior. lol @ some of these people.

Pitino took the money because no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't turn himself into Rupp. Tubby left because no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't make himself white. You keep tellin' yourself whatever you want. Both of those guys are damn good coaches and couldn't get the hell out of there fast enough. ^<<^

some of the unwarrented criticism on tubby may have been race related, we are talking about kentucky.

tubby didn't just leave on his own. it was an agreement between him and the school to make tubby look good instead of firing him. kentucky fans with unrealistic expectations got on the AD, so instead of firing him he let tubby say he left.

i think some fans were on him more because he was black. the AD didn't want to fire him, so they agreed in private for him to leave. he didn't leave on his own like stated.

they have a foundation down there and tubby loves it there. he would've signed a lifetime contract if he had the chance.

like it or not, Kentucky and Kansas are the premier jobs in college hoops, yes Roy left for NC, but he couldn't hack it with Kansas since he folded many times in the tournament with the Jayhawks

Uk = nd

Kentucky hoops - Notre Dame football. Same thing. Big expectations and if you ever do win a NC, they want another...NOW! or your out. Can't blame Urban Meyer for turning down his dream job to go to Florida.

Go coach hoops at Kentucky and it takes 20 years off your life for every 5 you make it there.

Sounds like Billy D is leaving for UK. All over the radio here. Not yet official however.

I still think it will be Calipari, even more so after the tigers loss last night. He has to be getting bored of CUSA, wants to prove himself in a better conference. Just my two cents...

Well Gillespe is fired which is no shock. Now Billy D says he is committed to building UF basketball. So maybe Calapari?
