yeah doug

Well, now we're getting somewhere...from the other thread where we tangled, I thought you said you were an atheist. An agnostic is much better in my opinion...

agnostic definition

n. 1. a. One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God.b. One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism.

...how can anyone be an atheist because as I have said ad nauseum, finite little man could never disprove God's existence. There's an old gospel hymn, "God is love, and he who abides in love, abides in God, and God in him." Neither you nor your new wife need to believe in God in order for God to exist. But if you truly love your wife, and you search for the Truth in this world, then God will find you. This reminds me of another prayer, at my age, everything reminds me of a prayer, LOL. This is Thomas Merton's prayer...

CONTEMPLATION

If you seek contemplation, you will probably never find it. But if you dare to open your heart to your own inner truth and to God's grace, contemplation may enter your life unobserved. Then, perhaps for the first time, you will know who you are and in knowing yourself you will know God; for it is He who holds within Himself the secret of your identity.

yeah doug...I've Always Stated That I am agnostic Although I Know I went a bit Too far makin u think I was indeed an atheist.... Yes Bro, I'm definitely an agnostic ...I Can't say For sure if God exists or Not ...But I'm Not rulin out that possibility....anyway, Appreciate your support either way and the Next Time MR. JOhnson "thanx God" , I promise I won't Be Such a prick...I was mainly tryin to keep The debate goin ....but i do respect people's religious/ n non religious beliefs . good luck !

One question Kim.

What do you think are the odds of this working out between you two.

Also, how long would you want to wait before wanting a kid? What happens to that kid if you two decide to call it quits.

Im aware this is a risk that all marriages take but this one seems alot riskier than your average "Im in love" marriage.

Now I was thinkn....After The Visa becomes approved ,I was thinkn about Actually Flyin OVER To Korea And Give My Farewells To her Family. I Think This might Be a good gesture although Costly .In fact, I was thinkn about Marriage At a JP in jeju island off of Korea Or LAS VEGAS onour way Back. Anotherwords , have the honeymoon in vegas before She settles. this way, Things will Be above REproach and old fashioned like miachael in italy in da godfather .

Kimchee,
I've been thinking about this and as much as I love Vegas and Vegas weddings, this is really about her and her family. If you're going to go over to Korea and bring her back anyway, why not get married there in a simple ceremony for her and her family? You can always stop in Vegas on the way back and repeat the ceremony, it's real easy and cheap to get married here, and actually a lot of fun.

On a serious note, I would definitely get a pre-nuptial agreement with her. Don't buy a real expensive wedding-engagement ring at the start, you were talking about 1-2 carats, that will cost approximately $10K....buy something less expensive and you can always upgrade over the years.

I'm a firm believer in love and marriage but realistically your marriage has less than a 50% chance of lasting....that says nothing about you or your new wife, that's just the statistics. Talk to a lawyer before you do this and get some guidance about the laws in your state concerning pre-nuptial agreements. Good luck

thanx Doug

Initially I did want to go OVER N Get married There , But The K 1 Visa makes That a Bit complicated.....It's More Simple N easier to Get Everything Done in The States without a Doubt...Thanx For the advice on the Ring ...I got NO clue with Rings ...Don't wanna spend that much anyway...believe it or NOt This Gal is pretty Fvckn wide eyed n innocent...she Don't even know what las vegas is ...for That Matter, she wouldn't know WTF a prenup is ....But You NEVER KNOW with any person ....however, i'm gonna trust My instincts on This ONe, I know These marriages Are The Same Success Rate as Any other marriage in the States..that I'm sure of n aware ....I'm GOin 4 it ....like any good gambler would...thanx

U know whats worse kimchee? Ur story is following me around..

Last night Im watching tv and I see two references to South Korea on the tv...

One on CNN, some report on how some women there have surgeries to look more "western" and the second on the travel channel, Anthony Bourdain was in Korea and some little girl had him doing stuff he hates like going into a karaoke bar, she tried to get him to sing but he was about to bitch slap her..
