This one should be a bit more pitching focused as Hamels has been excellent since coming to Texas last year at the trade deadline. The Rangers should come up with the victory here to extend their edge in the AL West.

R.A Dickey has struggled at home this year, but he is pitching much better of late overall and he has strong interleague numbers and a 3.03 ERA in 12 career starts vs the Phillies. Jerad Eickhoff has decent numbers on the surface, but he has been hit hard on the road to the tune of a 6.41 ERA and the Phillies have been outscored by 3.8 rpg in his five starts away from home. The Blue Jays have been playing much better and their offense is starting to roll, which should mean that they are in for a nice easy win in this one.

Going with the Under here tonight. The Rays are starting to pitching much better and Chris Archer has a strong 2.33 ERA at home so far, despite the 1-4 home record. His home starts have averaged just 5.83 rpg so far. Jeff Samardzija has struggled of late, but he will not be taking on a great offense, especially since the Rays have hit just .207 at home vs righties on the year. The Rays have scored just 3.28 rpg at home for the year, including just 2.17 rp[g when Archer is one the mound. This is NOT a hitters park and both pitchers should be able to keep the offenses at bay here.

The teams entered Friday’s game right in the thick of the AL Central race: the Royals were half a game off the pace while the Tigers were a game and a half behind Cleveland. The Tigers took the opening game of the series but it’s hard to like them here. Throwing a guy with one career win doesn’t inspire confidence. Sure, that win came against the Royals but Volquez is a more proven commodity. Look for the Royals to get the win

The Orioles are still playing OK, but I just think the Blue Jays are a little better than Baltimore when both teams are at full strength. I think Toronto gets to Tillman and gives him his second loss. Let’s take the Blue Jays.

Correction:

I don't claim to be the best in the world but i do make a decent amount by seasons end. There is a long season ahead and there are some very great opportunities ahead in these next few weeks for all!!! I have had ups and downs and keeping a level head will make both you and I a winner by season end. I can't believe that a person would claim to be the best in the world just because they live in Vegas, and another would be those that say that they are a "legend sports handicapper" that on one was ever heard of.

Football season is about 50 days away and i will had some early bird offers posted in a few weeks for those that are interested. From what i am thinking right now there will be two different sports packages and both the NFL & NCAA football will be included together and the terms will be 7 days / 30 days / season pass. The lower sports option will include two - four plays and the higher level package will include my top one to two plays.

SUNDAY PAID RESULTS (3-3) -$2,200

JUNE 19TH 5K PLAY OF THE DAY

5K WASHINGTON -116 (LOST)

The Nationals have been beating up on teams with a winning % of less than .400 as well as left handing starters. They get both on Sunday. Gio Gonzalez had a great start to this year, but he’s been downright terrible over his last five starts. He’s been striking out a lot of batters, striking out 40 over those eight starts, but he’s given up way too many hits at bad times. Overall, his WHIP hasn’t been bad, but runners have hit him well with runners on. This will be his first start against the Padres and should welcome their weak hitting offense. Drew Pomeranz as gotten hit around in his last few starts, however, giving up 14 hits and eight earned runs in his last 10 innings. It’s a bad time to face the Nationals, who have one of the better offenses in the National League. Pomeranz strikes out a lot of batters but also walks a lot, and should try to keep that down because the Nationals will make him pay. Regardless of what happens Saturday, I like them here.

Sure, injuries take a toll but every team has to deal with those and slumps. The makeup of the team simply isn’t good enough to overcome these sorts of issues on a regular basis. Houston has turned things around and is making some noise of late. The Astros should continue that momentum as Fister continues to pile up the wins for Houston.

The Giants are just a better team than the Pirates right now. I don’t know what to make of Albert Suarez, but he has pitched well in his only three starts. Jonathon Niese has been shelled in his last two starts, so I’ll side with Suarez here. I think the Giants get off to an early lead and then the Giants bullpen comes in to help save the win for Suarez. Let’s take the Giants on the road on Thursday.
