it just does not make sense to me, I mean why not just keep posting until he officially loses.

As I mentioned earlier, I think WVU just completely washed his hands of the forum and won't be back. He probably won't be back to pay the $14K if he loses ... but if he wins, I doubt he'll be back either - it's only $1K, and I don't think he has the balls to show up at the end and say that he's owed.

Tough spot for lapdance to be in ... if the bet was only a bet on this series, then the bet could be called off ... but the problem is that lapdance's bet already has several thousand dollars of equity built into it at this point, by virtue of the earlier series that the Lakers have already won, and it doesn't make sense to just throw that away, even though it looks like he won't be paid.

spot on with your post halifax, as were your previous thoughts on this issue. the shittiest thing about this is lapdance doesn't have the option to hedge with the uncertainty with getting paid.

Agree 100% as I stated much earlier, now the question becomes, how long is LD on the hook for the 1k if the Lakeshow loses? I mean does Whale onto that dime for a month, a year, or longer?

I think they've said several times that WVU will be paid in full and on time period if he wins. As bad as it sucks not doing so would still not be the right thing to do.

The last thing Lap needs is a bunch of douche bags talking about how he needs to stall out or not pay etc. All that will do is make it easier for WVU to pull the stiff job.

A bet is a bet and if you make it and lose you've gotta drop. Even if you know you would not get paid had you won.........you still made the bet. If you don't pay you're no better than the other guy.

Did WVU post up his part of the bet with cardsfan or was lapdance the only one to send funds to be held?

cmon man, you can figure this out, if WVU had post up his part then this would be a non issue. Cards and lap are in this thing together.

I'm guessing there wouldn't be all the controversy if WVU had posted up.

WVU said that the money had to be put up front so we both agreed that WW would hold the cash. when i asked what guaranteed his funds, his response was ' I'M A MOD, I'M GOOD FOR IT'. go back in the thread and you'll see those exact words.
this is between wvu and myself. ww guaranteed the cash for wvu and myself, that's where he comes into the mix. that's why he has so much interest in this.

who is ww, i thought cardsfan was holding the money?

i did not go through the whole thread, the reason i asked was if he did not put up any funds the chances of you getting paid probably are slim. i hope for your sake you get paid if the lakers win. if they lose keep the 1000 don't send him a cent. you are a fool if you do. go buy yourself something nice with the 1000, you'll get over it easier

agree stinky....heres the main issue IMO....he left this forum went across the street got found out quit there.........i heard he may have family health issues and i really do wish him the best if this is the case..........if my mother was in ICU.....and i had a bet of this magnitude with another poster i would've checked in at least once to let him know all is good..........there is zero chance he pays 14k if lakers win and a 100%chance lapdance will pay if lakers lose...thats is why people are chiming in here
