Anyone that has read this entire thread with an ounce of common sense knows that WVU had no intent of paying this had he lost. The only way that he could prove intent to pay is by providing proof of the $2500 hedge, which he won't do because he is lying about it. I would make it a double or nothing proposition: tell him that you will pay him $2000 with proof of the hedge and nothing without the proof.

And count me in with "paying you not to pay him."
