WSEX is a very fine book that does pay. i am, however distressed
about the large increase in transfer fees. although their numbers
aren't as juicy as they were a few years ago, they still offer
some nice nuggets if one is prepared to look. they also have
some nice unique stuff like horse matchups, live wagering, and active futures
markets where one can wager for or against. did i mention that
they pay? even though they are in the business to make money,
hopefully they will be flexible about or reduce their transfer fees.

Very limited options over at WSEX:

They won't take a 1st 5 inning parlay of:

TB -110
over 5.5 -110

5D took it, it's not correlated, at all. I think most shops would take this, I sure would, either 4 ways.

they lack a lot in offerings compared to a 5D or a Greek... no quarters, team totals, props, etc.

compare their lines to 5D ( reduced) or MB, how often would they (WSEX) have a better line, than just those two outs ? I'd guess about 1% of the time.

From what I've heard, WSEX's main value other than in game betting is that they will take sharp money and not cut your limits nearly as fast as other books.

their ingame betting is high vig, esp. compared to MB.

Of course, the in game sucks, but before the game starts the juice on interactives is low, and sometimes better than MB for the side you want. That's pretty much the only reason to check it.

Any luck getting them to rescind the xfer fee to MB ???

I'll talk to them in a day or two, waiting for echeck to clear, I'm almost trying to lose there.

Dear Doug,

Thank you for your email.

We are currently reviewing interbook transfer policy with World Sports Exchange. We can pick up the charges for this first transfer fee in the form of commission credits, but please be aware that this is a one-off until we establish future policy.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by email, live chat (via our Contact Us page), or telephone.

Kind Regards

Keshauna

Im so glad you bumped this thread.

there has been SO MUCH value at WSEX recently its crazy....

again, for whatever reason YOU may find that there is no value, but as posted above, for those willing to search for golden nuggets, books like WSEX and yes BETCRIS are golden!!!!

incidentally, I got the SENATORS for a huge play at -120 at WSEX today when literally the rest of the world had -130.

Also got Edmonton -4 in CFL, while the closest second best was -6.

There are a few reasons to bet WSEX. They are not exactly the quickest to pay, but you will get paid.

To say there is no reason to be there either means you are undercapitalized or ignorant.

(I really should get paid for this shit, too bad it's the truth)

that is exactly it Doberman, the majority of my bets are not there, they are at pinnacle and exchanges.

HOWEVER.

You need to take advantage of all your weapons if you are serious about this game.

Betcris and WSEX are basically on the list of MUST HAVE outs if you ask me, if you are playing the post up offshore game.

woudnt ya know it.

Vegas Vic posts a good tip on Atlanta playing alot of OT games so I check out the lines for 60 minutes only on Atlanta.

5dimes +0.5 +110
Pinny +0.5 +117
BETCRIS +0.5 +125

Again, I must emphasize. The notion that Betcris and WSEX are useless books is totally and completly laughable. I find Golden nuggets there ALMOST each and every day.

Do I play the majority of my wagers at those two books... NO, of course not, reduced vig shops get more action. But not having WSEX or BETCRIS funded would be a HUGE HUGE mistake and is for anyone out there who doesnt have em.

They both are making a mistake by being rigid in charging transfer fees, IMO.

I can fund either one ( CRIS being Bookmaker for US) in an instant, but I don't even bother to look at their lines, anymore. WSEX has an occasional line.

Both encourage me to only have a 1 bet balance there, and basically not use them anymore.

Is that their objective ?

Ya gotta love stuff like this that gets matched at MB:

I am not in one way or another making an argument that they are making the best business decisions.

I wish transfers were free with matchbook.

I am simply stating, that despite more and more rigid financial transaction rules and challenges in the industry, they still have TONS of value. Both of them.

(for me anyway. Of course, for you, it may be different, your situation might be different than mine)

Again, my only point is that to make a blanket statement that they are useless is wrong (IMO).
