Would you still take Marcus Mariota #1 overall after tonight?

Who knows, with the right team and system he might do just fine. I remember when the Texans drafted Carr 1st overall and he was sacked like 150 times in two years. It's such a risk taking those guys high unless they're obviously talented like Luck was.

How great would it be if the Titans take Winston and the Texans take Mariotta. That alone makes it a great draft for the colts

Even if they turn out good you wouldn't acknowledge it....Russell Wilson is a top tier QB and all you reply with is excuses...pretty much why you have no credibility..

Like I said before, you only love these people if they are connected to the Pacific Northwest. That alone gives you credibility. You would have said the same thing about Dennis Dixon or any of those fake qb's. Like I give a damn if you think I have credibility. My God, seriously. Get back to me once Wilson doesn't have his defense and a running game.

who is praising Dennis Dixon ? I never said he was the next great QB ... probably rooted for him since we had a great team that year..Fuckn Tom Brady had a great defense and running game when he won SB's... you going to take something away from him too ? probably not...Russell Wilson arguably has one of the worst receiving corps in the league... Your boy Andrew has a lot better receivers then R. Wilson has... If you want to wear blinders with some qb's so be it....go ahead and look more foolish then you already are... BTW...Wilson 2 rings coming up Luck & Peyton 1 enjoy the SB

This is what Gil Brandt said and I am sure many other teams feel about who takes who first and why they chose him.

“If I’m drafting for today, I’m taking the FSU guy; if I’m drafting for two or three years from now, I think Mariota has the most upside”

Never speak of Andrew Luck or Peyton again. Hey mods don't ban me so I can come back and prove that I am right. Mariotta sucks and Wilson will be exposed once he doesn't have to be a game manager. The end

To an extent Vlad is right about Russell Wilson. No knock on the qb as he's a very good player. Just he isn't a guy who will transcend a system. Luck has and Tannehill has the potential. Flip Ryan and Russell's situation and I think you see a much different qb outside of Seattle and another who still looks very good outside of Miami.

We can play that game all day. .where would Joe Montana be if he wasn't playing with the 49ers ? There is a reason Russell Wilson will be on the short list for MVP...you just don't get the votes because of a great defense. ...sorry you just dont

Of course it's all projective. I like Wilson as a player and would put somewhere near the bottom of a top 10 list. It's just hard to say that he could play for any nfl team and be s successful as he has been with Seattle. Yet you can watch someone like a Brady or Luck and tell that any team they go to they are still going to be a top player.

We don't know if Wilson has even hit his ceiling yet though. He's only in year 3.

I'm good at FanDuel, beating competitors at injury notices for SportsOptions, and dating girls that turn out to be crazy. The holy trifecta.

Please teach me how to win at fan duel. I have never got beaten so badly at that besides when I play chess with defying.

Russell Wilson will likely win the MVP this year and Mariotta will win it next year. They then will alternate it for the next 10 years. Not sure who will win more Super Bowls but it will be more than 6-7 each by time both their careers are over.

You just can't stop mariotta's read option. I see him running for 100 yards a game and throwing for 325.

Maybe he hasn't. I have been wrong before. But when you have the best defense in the game and at least 1 of the best running games, you can see how people may think of that. I'll say it again. Drop back 35 or so times a game and throw it down the field. That is what the real qb's do.
