I think the reason you won't hear much about it in the bad beat department is because it changed the 2nd half outcome and not the game line outcome. But for anyone who had made a 2nd half bet on this game it will go down as one of if not the worst beat ever.
This bad beat had 3 incredible things happen.
Not just the Hail Mary.
If it was just a hail Mary it would have just been a normal bad beat but this one had all kinds of stuff besides that.
Just think about it. They are thinking about overturning the outcome of this game.
Has that ever happened in the history of football?
That alone should tell anyone how historic this beat was
Most people won't consider it the worst because it was on a 2nd half total. There have been games where teams needed to recover several onside kicks just to get within the number.....a bowl game a few years back was some Hail Mary latterel for the cover.....it might have been cmich.....can't recall but somebody should remember that one.

this, that Cincy/Duke game can never be topped. If anyone watched the game Ok St. scored the go ahead Touchdown with around 4 min left on a fourth down play where the refs threw a flag for Offensive holding by the Ok St. WR and then they mysteriously picked up the flag. The Central Michigan coach was going crazy on the sidelines.
Not sure if these are all worse, but some could be comparable or worse
What about when McGrady 13 points in 35 seconds? Or Derek Fisher making a shot with .4 seconds? Those stand out off the top of my head. Maybe Michigan vs Michigan muffed punt last year?
Also, 2013 - Baylor vs Iowa State Under 77 - Its 64-0 with 50 seconds left and ISU scores to make it 64-7. Then Baylor takes the kick off to the house?
Maybe the Seahawks "fail mary" play vs GB a few years ago?
I think there was a game with Pittsburgh where a TD was scored on the last play in some crazy play, then 15 minutes after the game ended, they overturned it
Maybe Georgia/Auburn 2013 where dude caught the ball that bounced off two defenders and housed it?
Maybe the Auburn play where they returned the Bama FG attempt for a TD?
