When you become a US Citizen, please feel free to comment on US politics with some sense of credibility.

When US stops destroying peace and stealing resourses around the globe, especially when that affects me, even when I left "the land of the free"and I found myself living in my own peaceful homeland, I might stop commenting about US politics and their actions which unfortunately affect so many innocent civilians around the world who are the ones dealing with all this shit. How could I respect myself witnessing the atrocities your government commits on the name of security and yet continue with my normal life. No Sir that would be impossible.

Terrorists fly into the building and kill 3K plus on our soil and we shouldn't go after them?

Sounds great! Let's see...they were from Saudi Arabia and Egypt and were allegedly trained in Afghanistan - the latter location being where all reports tell us that instigator OBL is located

First things first! Let's send 4000+ American men and women to die in the country of Iraq

And then we'll burn another 1000+ American men and women in a fruitless 9+ year chase into Afghanistan.

Add in tens of thousands of non-fatal casualties and we're doing a great job "getting justice" for the 2800 Americans killed on 9/11/01

How about another couple thousand dead and say, 5-10,000 non-fatal casualties? Ummm, ummm...good.

Some folks might enjoy seeing their tax dollars going to feed American lives by the thousands straight to the supper table of those who hate us. But count me out.

Their actions were obscene and immoral, but at least they had more guts than the cats who rained bombs from the safety of 20,000 feet down onto the population centers of Iraq, killing at least 3000+ in "revenge".

What are you talking about? Everybody knows the publisher is Julian Assange. On the other hand, nobody has come forward and admitted they sent the contents of the Afghan War Diary to Wikileaks. It helps to be familiar with the information you are posting on, try and keep up.

should that private be charged with treason? i'm not sure who would be comfortable knowing that members of our military are leaking sensitive information that can be used by the enemy, regardless of whether you agree with the war efforts.

Given the way the Taliban and those opposing the U.S. invasion have been kicking U.S. military ass over the past nine years, I'm not so sure any increase in "sensitive information" is going to change the Monthly W/L record

Destroying peace? Stealing resources? Very grand statements with nothing cited Barman Jr. It's typical though.

I guess we don't respond to an earthquake in Haiti and save thousands of lives. We don't go to Africa and provide medical care, clean water and help build homes...no we don't do that do we? We don't build homes and schools and provide water in Afghanistan do we Derek? Until you've riden on some convoys and done this, just stay out of the discussion. Let the grownups discuss our own politics.

Every single member of the U.S. Military volunteers on their own free will. We are not forced to deploy. We know the dangers when we enlist and we know this when we get the orders. We follow orders and that's that. It's that simple.

You actually sympathize with the 911 terrorists. You are pure white trash Baragenda. Not even worthy of living in this great country of ours. Not even worthy of stepping into a voting booth or enjoying any of our freedoms. I'd love to drive you to Canada and drop you off or drop you off with Bardouche Jr. in Costa Rica.

Enfuego, stop beating your head against a cement wall. Barman's a big fisherman, often times over the line, but we've all had our moments in the poli Forum. Derek I'm leaning is a closet truther.

I generally share your opinions, and I very much dislike any disrespect being shown our military personnel in this thread.

Thank you for your service, and debate only when debate is worthy.

You are right Willie and I'm about done. I just have a real tough time accepting flat out lies. I can accept a rational discussion in the poly forum. I can accept a rational discussion where everyone treats each other with resepect but I can't handle lies and guys that have their mind made up before they even step foot in the door.

I think you and I concurred on that one as far back as a month ago.

But you would think that if the true desire was to "get those guys who did 9/11" that someone, maybe in the back of the room, would raise his hand and say, "Why the fuck do 4000+ of us have to go and die in Iraq??"

We don't build homes and schools and provide water in Afghanistan do we.

Well it's at least a friendly followup to having bombed the bejeezus out of their communities and destroyed enough of their infrastructure that maybe they might need a few new homes, schools and water lines.

You actually sympathize with the 911 terrorists.

Your emotions are getting the better of you again, kid.

I have no sympathy for any of the men who flew airplanes as bombs into U.S. buildings. I have even less sympathy for any complaints that might be offered by those men who dropped bombs for days and weeks on end into Iraqi population centers.

They pretty much rank as Dead Even in my book

The only distinction is that the former group were sufficiently tied to their cause that they were willing to go down with the ship. Maniacs, yes. Fools, probably. But certainly a notch braver than the cats who only had to ascend to the safety of 20,000 feet, push a few buttons and then fly back to base where they could celebrate with their mates over beers and argue about who killed the most targets.

This all of course preceding them doing it all again the next day....and the next..and the next

Yeah, I was just kiddin' around. I'm sure that the U.S. military forces are just about to rally and get this whole thing wrapped up in the next five, maybe six months. The previous nine years of persistently chasing our tails in between sending home thousands of American men and women in body bags will soon be nothing but a distant memory, eh?

We're not even talking about Iraq. Not even on topic here.

And we talked about this one months ago. We're not bombing the "bejeezus" out of anyone in Afghanistan. But you really don't know anyway. Just throwing stuff out there and some of these tards actually buy what you're selling.

No, not emotional and no, not a kid.

Comparing a US Military pilot following orders passed down from POTUS is a little different than taking over planes and flying them into buildings. Carry on with the crusade though.

War is hard. This is rough terrain with many political and cultural issues. Thinking this one would be wrapped up in a few months is a pipe dream.
