The view of individuals and soceities towards porno, varies from time to time.
In ancient China, about 1500 years ago, pillow books were sometimes given as wedding presents. And the idea there was specifically both the new couple husband and wife would look at those pillow books together. The husban was not to go to the corner to look at these books himself alone, the wife was suppose to look at them with her husband together. If they decdie to go to the corner regardless, that was up to them.
In China about 150 years ago, porno was not generally approved of anymore. Althought there was wide-spread debauchery in the country, visual porno was not highly appreciated, nor was graphic erotic literature.
It would be evident that since W Bush is in power, the authorities are trying to curb American vices, and from that, attitudes towards porno begin to change, on a wider scale.
Even though everyone loves porno, including Americans, there is a prudist streak that runs thru America. Call it the Puritan no-sex ethic.
The American woman would be, and is the most vocal female on the planet against porno. The cause being
1. Bush II is in power.
2. the Puritan no-sex ethic.

The first one in Chinese, the second in Japanese. I can read the Chinese one, but not the Japanese one. However, it is very easy to figure out, if you know what I mean. You will need a bit torrent client if you decide to download any thing. If the wife walks in again on you, just say you are trying to learn a foreign language, or just pretend you have no idea how you arrived at a there, and you thought it was about something esle.
