What the OP doesn't get is this. If I only cared about myself I would be lobbying to extend the shutdown. I would want them to print more money and issue more checks (hopefully they would increase the income threshold with the next round). I would want nothing more than to hang around at home, work from my home office, not have to travel for work, spend less money than ever, etc etc etc.

I want things to move forward because I DO care about my friends, my family, and my neighbors.

If you go back to work, and get affected and pass it to someone who has a father or mother at home and they die. You are responsible for there deaths, do you care. Yeah I know you need to make your 100,000 and not care about anyone else. I hope you guys are the first ones to get the virus, when you go back to work.

No doubt many people in Canada are of the same sentiment. The vast majority approve of the lockdown.

Then the OP would have to be aware of everyone’s work life/schedule. Don’t think that’s possible.

Uhhh.... We all fucking want normal life back. But I’m in no hurry to be amongst the crowded population in a race to not give a fuck.

But you making that statement under these circumstances shows your lack of understanding of the virus.

Because If you cared about your family, friends, and neighbors you would understand most places are still at least a couple months away from opening. At least. And even when they do open it won’t be open open. It will still be restricted.

Its not that I am rooting for this. This is the real. This is what will happen. I am a realist.

If I had family in New York I would want them to stay their asses at home.

And please drop the "lack of understanding of the virus" routine.

Another thing I want to bring up is you know how everybody says, “mob all you do is talk about yourself all you do is tout yourself and love yourself and boast and brag and tell everyone how great you are and wonderful you always do and how you’re always right you sound so insecure to have to constantly remind us of that etc etc etc.”

^^^^
Why when I do it, it’s a problem. But when Trump does it you guys say....”that’s just how Trump is. Get used to it.”

Lol!

i remember years ago a sports talk radio station had a guy , a goofy one, from like 12-12:30 just did sports trivia

any answers from 90% of the callers was “Beevis and Butthead”

“what shortstop led the NL in Home runs during the 1979 season” // Beevis and Butthead. Hahahaha

I would be in tears listening. Needless to say it didn’t last long

I can see the resumes now,
Mob = "My accomplishments are very good."
Mango = "Me know all about numbers and can count to ten or maybe twelve."
Bengal = Eye now alot about you're business and I'd give ewe reference as like Mob and Bengal."

Then maybe he shouldn't start presumptive ass threads with broad generalizations like "why do you guys only care about yourselves"

I'm 99% sure he's trolling at this point. So he's still got 1% to go to get to mob level.

I won't know who is right and wrong until a year or so from now - I have my opinions, but they don't matter. I can spend hours here trying to convince people I am right like most people, but that is dumb and a waste of time.

I hope that everyone is on the "shelter forever" path is rooting for Georgia, Jacksonville, FL, Ohio, Texas and all of the rest that are being aggressive here. If they win, we all win. At least I think we all win - reading a lot on this, and I am not convinced that everyone wants to go back to life as we knew it. When you hear the arguments and the comments about how opening businesses is wrong, you never hear anyone say that they hope it is successful. Seems crazy to me. All you hear is how it is the wrong move, and how deadly it's going to be.

I hope that, if being aggressive in opening the country is the right move, that all of those that are wrong can admit as much. I admit I was wrong about this virus - thought it would be influenza with a little more kick. Not true and I know that now. And if these cowboys are wrong about opening their state, and cases spike dramatically, I will admit that it was wrong and be somewhat OK with waiting another X months to start trying again.

I can't wait until this forum turns back into a sports forum. No wonder most gamblers can't win - they are too invested in "being right" and not interested enough in learning and admitting they weren't and fixing it.
