A lot of it depends on the team and their role but Dirk was still the best player on a 50 win team this year.

I never saw it with Gordon Heyward. Maybe its because in the Butler days, the truth is if you are 6'8", have a couple moves, and can shoot, you can average 18 a game there. Same thing I said about Oden. The guy would beat up on 6'4" non Division 1 guys in high school while playing on a loaded team.

We're talking about a perimeter specialist who averaged 10 points per game here. He plays the Ray Allen heat role of being in good cardiovascular shape and running around like a drunk rabbit behind screens and shooting threes. If we're talking about best player you have to consider rebounding and defense too among other things.
