I think I will take a 5'9" Michael Vick and his speed to take my franchise to the next level. Hahaha. People crack me up.

I would take a 17 year old Josh Rosen now out of high school before I took mariotta or Winston. He will be signed for the minimum and groomed by me. Like my own Chia pet.

Brady: 6'4"
Manning: 6'5"
Rodgers: 6'2"
Luck: 6'4"
Rivers: 6'5"
Rothlisberger: 6'6"

I understand qb play better than anyone. Now I will take my 5'10" Russell Wilson and tell him he is my franchise qb....Hahahahahah

Geno Smith 6'3"
Ryan Tannehill 6'4"
Colin Kaepernick 6'4"
Alex Smith 6'4"

Without saying anything, you know I would never draft 2 of those qb's and Tannehill is a 1 year starter. Big red flag. Alex Smith was a read option qb in college. Meep meep

which two ? The Black ones ???

Of course not, I envision their strength to come from nothing and prove everyone wrong. They are an inspiration to us all. To be a "duel-threat" qb must be hard. Imagine running the ball and passing it with precision accuracy. Now I know why Michael Vick was taken #1 overall. I think Aaron Brooks and Quincy Carter along with Jamarus Russell if given the correct path would be great.

Drafting any of these QB's is simply like playing craps & rolling the dice.

You just never know.

But a lot should have been learned from the Vince Young & JaMarcus Russell busts.

That's what scares me about Jameis Winton.

As for Mariota, eh, wouldn't the team who drafts him be lucky if he's even as good as an Alex Smith or Sam Bradford???

Why would a team drafting Mariota be lucky if he turn out to be Smith? If you are taking him high than you have to believe Colin Kap is the floor.

Vince Young and JaMarcus aren't really fair comparisons to Jameis. His on-field ability to read and diagnose is far better than either Young or Russell ever showed. That comes from off the field preparation.

Right... I know he is expected to be a star if taken that high.

But aren't they all?

That's my point when I say the odds are against him being anything but average or just above.

Chances are he's just another one of those guys I used as examples...

Neither one of these guys are an almost guarantee like Andrew Luck.

Therefore, no way would I spend a 1st or 2nd pick on either of them.

As I said earlier in this thread, there's not guarantee Winston or Mariota can even be as good as Teddy Bridgewater who was picked 32nd!

Gotcha. I'm not very high on him as a prospect either. I think he turns out better than CK but isn't someone who will turn around a franchise.

Why are we wasting our time with this guy? If he's not white, not 6'4 and not a pocket passer, he sucks and will not be a good NFL QB.

Just a waste of brain cells.

Bridgewater should have been the first qb taken in the draft. He was a level above Bortles, Carr, and Manziel. It's hard to throw out guarantees but I think Jameis is much closer to Andrew Luck as a prospect than VY or JM Russell.

Vlad will tell you that you're speaking blasphemy. Bridgewater is black remember?
