So if they are there why aren't the doing anything to stop it? I am really interested in seeing how bad this gets - feel bad for the folks that are losing their property though.

The National Guard is the last group of people that should be on the scene to deal with looting. A big difference between fighting terrorists & such in war zones versus regular citizens who are wired. Getting into a confrontation would only escalate things even further.

Yes, agree 100 percent. The military is the last option for civil unrest. Has been for years and years. Yes, the military could quell this in an hour or two. It's not what people across the US want to see. It's not a military mission. Americans serving killing Americans. Awesome optic.
Looters are dominating and cops are saying they have no cars to report to the scene. Lambert-St. Louis International Airport has tweeted that they are restricting incoming flights.
