The fact he has no experience working at any level of government is the main reason people won't vote for him. He has a nice story to tell but we don't just give anyone that is highly credentialed access to the button.
If he really wants to get involved in politics he should go after that seat that just opened up in MD. Would probably win it.
He's in the news today. Said something really stupid about prison turning people gay. No, I don't want to debate the gay thing again. But it's not going to go over well. Dr. Carson, do you want to be president? Talk about keeping America safe. Talk about health insurance. Talk about the economy. Don't talk about prison sex.
He likely doesn't want to mount any type of serious effort to become President. Making a half-ass attempt to run, generating some buzz and then selling books and getting speaking engagements and television appearances for the rest of your life is a thriving industry.

I'm pretty sure he said something like ""A lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight, and when they come out, they're gay. So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question."
So he used prison as an example of people choosing to become gay. They weren't gay before, but they made choices and conformed to the gay lifestyle.
I agree a little bit with it, but mostly disagree. I do believe a majority of gay people are born gay and will die being gay. Also believe there is a small portion who choose to be gay and live that lifestyle.
While I don't agree with him 100%, I can see the point he is trying to make. Maybe he can "evolve" like our present President.......
Yeah that is everything but that stuff can change if you get enough momentum. You can force the markets hand if they realize you are the guy they have to play ball with. I.e all of Hilarys donors jumping ship to Obama.
He is 63 now. Just waited a little too long to get into the game, should've tried to take a Senate seat first. As much as people don't like politicians these days, being a Governor qualifies you for the Oval Office a lot more than being a surgeon does.
