Not a bad beat, but as far as recent memory goes, the Georgia basketball team cost me a shitload of money during the SEC tournament this year. Thinking about it makes me sick.

For some idiotic reason I had the Kentucky ML for $500 in that game jackass hit the desperation 3 to win it for Georgia.

I dont think it was recently because the real sports episode was from a while back...it very well could of been though...

Oh yeah. I was wrong. The Ventura homer was the "grand slam single" in Game 5 of the 99 NLCS. Look up "Grand Slam Single" on wikipedia and you'll see the game I was thinking of--which turns out isn't the game you're talking about at all.

Probably the Brewers up 5-0 going into the 9th and the d-backs score 6 without an out being recorded.

If you guys want to hear the worst loss ever just look up "the gambler"...it was a real sports special where a guy had a serious gambling problem and in the story he told of one of his 10,000$ losses..

Had the over in a world series game (slips my mind which one)...Total was 9.5 I believe...score 4-4...guy hits walk off two run home-run...first guy come across 5-4...team tackled whoever hit the homerun somewhere around 2nd base...run never got in

OUCCHHH

Total was 7.5, Ventura hit the slam, but only made it to 1st base final 4-3.

Worst loss ever for me, was the OSU-Michigan #1 vs #2 matchup in 2006. My largest bet ever and not even close. 4th and 10, ball over thrown by 10 yards and out of bounds, PI called. UM scores and loses 42-39 instead of 42-31.

NCAA Hoops...Kansas -8.5 over K State. Kansas is up 11 with about 30 seconds left. K-State misses the shot. Kansas rebounds and K-State concedes and is going to let Kansas run out the clock. With about 7 seconds left, Kansas INTENTIONALLY throws the ball out of bounds. Apparently it was senior night and the kid wanted to get his standing ovation as he walked off the court. K-State gets the ball back. They don't even take a 3. But the guy drives to the hoop, scores and gets fouled, makes the free throw, Kansas wins by 8 and I lose by half a point. To top it off, it was the 3rd game of a 3 team parlay. I will never forget that game.

My biggest gamble was sleeping with a girl I met at a club without a condom.. I found out 5 days later I had lost the bet when I had to go get a shot of penicillin in my ass.

Not the biggest loss, but the one that pissed me off the most. OU/Oregon two years ago when the refs f*ed up the onside kick call and a PI call after the onside kick, had OU on the money line.

agassi blake 2005 us open q-finals. i had already won big on blake +300 over nadal the previous round, so i decided to let it ride on a pk vs the old man

couldn't watch the first couple hours for another reason. when i got back to watch the game, it was the first serve of the third set, and blake had absolutely crushed agassi the first two sets. game over, straight sets, free money in my mind. over the next several hours (the 5th set was like 3 hours or some nonsense, whole match well over 5 hours, longest match of the year by far), i watched agassi grind slowly back and win the thing. blake blew opportunities to put him away over and over

the very worst part is, on the west coast, they cut the feed to law and order CI after the 5th set. so i had to follow the tiebreak, which agassi won 11-10 or some bullshit, on the ATP's flash scoreboard.

From that post:

"I had chosen Chilean league leader Colo Colo to win over Brasilian league team Gimnasia who was about in the middle of the league. Colo Colo had been winning by outlandish margins previously. They were up 4-1 until the 87th minute when someone threw a rock at a player. The match was suspended. Pinnacles rules state that if a match is suspended and not replayed within 24 hours the bet is voided."

I won at other books who state that a match is final after 84 minutes.

I could write a book..Heres one...

College football..I am getting 3.5 but trail 20-10 with 10 seconds left..Well, I punch in a td with 4 seconds left, kick the pat and looks like a cover right?

On the ensuing KO my team tries an onside kick...ball bounces straight to some little jitter bug the opponent put on the good hands team..He catches it in stride and runs 65 yards for a total unnecessary TD..99 out of 100 the guy jumps on the ball and the game expires.

add two Dallas Cowboys games

The botched field goal from the 10 yard line

And Thanksgiving day many years ago when Leon Lett touched a dead ball in the snow..Dolphins recovered and won..I`ll never forget the Dallas owners Jerry Jones face..He raised his arms in victory..and then looked at what had happened...Lett could have just let the ball roll dead and Dallas would have won..

I was also a victim of the immaculate reception...and the snake Stabler wounded duck pass to Clarence Davis in 1973 as Dolphin defensive end Vern Den herder tackled him
