I agree with you somewhat. I've yet to try one of their reciepes but when I do I'm sure it will come out close because of them. I like Detroit style pizza best personally. They refer to is as Sicilian style. If you read that Sicilian section they tackle every possible way to duplicate one by contacting the place and asking questions, buying one and dissecting it, weighing it, counting the number of peperonies used. When they are done the damn thing looks almost identical. They were able to determine the sicilian pie i like is unique because of the type of pan they use. a blue steel pan that creates a crust only a pan like this will produce. I like to pick a thread and just scroll thru the pics they post. Great site IMO.

then again...I like to cook.

American's most disliked pizza topping revealed: survey

6,000 Americans were asked about their favorite and least favorite toppings

Get that fish off your pizza.
When it comes to pizza, toppings are incredibly important. No matter how good the crust and sauce are, it doesn’t matter if a terrible topping is added to the pizza.

A new survey says that it has determined America’s least favorite pizza topping, according to a post on YouGov.com. The results are based on a poll that included 6,000 adults from the United States.

According to the results, America’s most disliked topping is anchovies. The small fish has a big taste and is often the butt of bad-pizza-topping jokes. While people not liking anchovies on pizza may not be surprising, the survey also revealed several other unpopular pizza toppings.
While 61% of respondents said that they don’t like anchovies on pizza, 52% also said that they don’t like eggplant on pizza. Artichokes were the third least popular topping, with 44% of respondents saying no to them.

Broccoli was the fourth most disliked topping and pineapple came with fifth with 35% of respondents saying no to pineapple on pizza (sorry, ‘ham-and-pineapple’ fans).
Meanwhile, Pepperoni is reportedly the most popular topping with a 64% approval rating. That was followed by sausage, mushrooms, extra cheese and then onions.

The survey also determined that thin crust pizza is slightly more popular in the midwest and western parts of the United States, while the eastern area of the country has a slight preference for the regular style crust. Apparently, only about one-in-five responded that they prefer deep-dish pizza.

Sausage and mushrooms. Have to be fresh mushrooms though. Canned mushrooms = no go.

If you guys are ever in Boston's North End (the Italian neighborhood) find Parziale's Bakery. Ask for Aldo. He is the pizza artist. It's primarily a bread bakery that services most of the restraunt's in the North End (there are many). Parziale's is the oldest bakery in Boston. Same family for about 100 years. Anyway get there about 10:00 or 11:00 in the morning when his Sicilian pan pizzas are coming out of the oven. You can get a slice for $1.95. ( I get crusty corners every Friday AM when my week is done. It is the best pizza. Period. You won't be disappointed. Tell the "pizza artist" that Jim sent you. Call him the pizza artist he'll know me. And you'll be happy like I am every Friday morning. I get it and eat it in Medford where I get Saturday's racing form. I'm the happiest guy in the world as I look at that form and eat that still hot pizza. (And drink a $1.50 coke out of Parziale's coke machine!)

Nice! I only get to Boston once every few years, but I will do this the next time I'm there.

Zit, ask him about Belli or Brady. The family has had season tickets forever. They also love the Bruins. Or about how the election was stolen from Trump. You'll get him going! These are hard working North Enders. Born and raised right above the bakery, a stones throw from the Garden.

A rare breed these days.

No problem, carlito. Two slices of pizza for you or anyone else who goes in there on me. Two slices more if you have a guest. Tell them I'll pay on Friday. For real.

Happy to treat my RX brothers.
