as far as overall this election cycle this is how it is right now

mccain is your baby boomer that "grew up"

hillary is your baby boomer that didn't grow up

obama is your baby boomer's offspring

that's the 3 big classes left in america today

and they are all wrong

only a few like me roaming around shaking their heads at it all

and the baby boomers parents (our grandparents) who gave them everything we got...are slowly dieing off....and at least leaving their offspring with some financial help

He thinks growing up is caring about money and nothing else. I guess if money is all you have then you latch on to it and embrace it. I have to much good stuff in my life to care about money that much. Don't get me wrong. I love having money. I buy things and have fun with my money. But the difference is that the conservatives have NOTHING else.

well money is important in that fiscal responsibility in your own family is important

the problem is since american's haven't been able to take their own finances responsibly and they've allowed congress to do the exact same thing

you seem like a good guy i'm not trying to bash you or any individual on this forum....that's not my point in sterotyping and putting people into categories....that's just how society has evolved and engineered us to be......you said you were gonna homeschool your kid....great job :aktion033:aktion033

work hard, earn a good living, raise a good kid, stay outta bad debt, save for your family's future or a rainy day, enjoy luxury that you can AFFORD, and live a happy life

that's what we need outta my generation to get this ship going back in the right direction

unfortunately what has been done has been done and can't be reversed at this point i think a gloomy cycle is coming for america

all individuals can do is be fiscially responsible, get outta debt, save up as much money as possible, and live within their means and ride it out.....

and unfortunately since things are so bad the government does not promote this....their solution is more debt to try to delay the inevitable gloominess

Tizzy, your economic assessment and predictions are very likely to be correct, yet for some reason you want everyone to change their ways as a result and seem extremely frustrated that they aren't doing so.

Assuming I'm right, I'm wondering why that is. Is it to avert war, or what?

now your gonna make me mad

its social engineering for short term gains

buying lotsa homes and shit you don't need on credit

saving and providing for your families future isn't important anymore having lots of nice stuff is

see the big picture dave....think long term

my generation and those younger than me are in for some gloomy times

its up to us to get back to family values, fiscal responsibility, and trying to get this ship pointed the right direction

but its so hard so many divorced kids have so many scars left and just take after their parents and follow the same path with having lots of kids outta wedlock, divorcing alot, sleeping around....etc...

all you baby boomers have your heads in the sand thinking everything is okay....well you know what its not okay....and if we don't take action soon future generations are fucked beyond belief

i rant because i care about my country and am concerned for its future.....i come off as a america hater i'm far from it....just sick of all the liberalism and complancancy

Not trying to make you mad but if you must so be it. All my life I have restrained from all the things you mention, to sum it up living above your means. I have one child and I raised her the same way. She’s now prosperous, debt free, owns her own home and pays all her bills without fail.
Your generation and those younger than you are in for some gloomy times. Maybe, maybe not but how is that my fault? I can’t save the country and I’m not responsible for it’s current situation.
Its up to us to get back to family values, fiscal responsibility, and trying to get this ship pointed the right direction. I’ve always lived by those values that’s why I’m in the shape I'm in. As for me having my head in the sand there is not a hell of a lot I can do if someone wants to be irresponsible and you know what, neither can you. So piss and moan all you want but don’t lay the blame at my feet.

seeing the big picture is just frustrating in general

ranting is a release

plus all the discussion on this forum with the various parties has allowed me to gain further personal understanding of america's problems going forward

i've gained alot of personal knowledge via discussion i'm getting something outta it....its the gain of wealth through awareness lets put it that way.....most of your net worth is upstairs in your brain.....

plus my economic knowledge to play the stock market has developed better over the course of the past year aka my sell, sell, sell blog

as for war who knows how it all plays out that's chaos and unpredictable

its not YOUR fault

you are a good man sir i complement you :toast:

i'm just talking about society at large

if you are debt free, have savings, raised a good kid that is doing the same, have lived a fiscally responsible lifestyle you will be just fine and so will your offspring

you did a great service to your country as a whole

its those that didn't that are scroomed

at the same time i just really wish people would wake up and realize that overall the way we live is unsustainable

this can't continue and we must scream at washington we want change with TRUE conservatism

not bush and mccain's brand we need complete overhaul with humongous cuts in spending at the federal level, social security needs to be taken care of now NOT later....these career politicians in washington have to start being sincere with the people....and not just worried about pleasing them for the next 4 years.....they have to think long term about our future and make decisions that near term are not gonna please their spoiled baby boomer supporters.....unfortunately dreams of this are just that dreams.....

like DP said in another thread his ceaser quote

"give them bread and circus and they will never revolt"

people won't wake up and demand change until there is no more bread as the "system" has the circus down pat at this point.....and as time keeps going along our problems grow greater because we let government do what it pleases and spend OUR money like madmen

and the scary/frustrating part for me is...those young people who are demanding "change" are demanding the totally wrong answer due to bush....more liberalism

"Gay Rights" would be prohibiting discrimination (from employers, housing, etc.) based on sexual orientation -- can't fire someone for being gay or deny them housing. Basically similar to laws based on race and gender and nationality.

Do you agree or disagree with these rights?

How can I discriminate against someone if I don't know and don't care what their "sexual preference" is? How the hell can you tell a homosexual from a heterosexual unless that person goes out of their way to shove it up your ass - no pun intended.

Ahh, maybe if two dudes walked in trying to rent a house. Or if they pull up with a gay pride sticker on their car. Oh wait, that would be shoving it up your ass in your eyes. Not like a religious nut wearing a cross or having a jesus fish on their car.

OK, there are no rights. Let someone rape your damn wife and then I'll question her "right" to not be raped. Everyone knows what someone means when they talk about rights. Right wing kooks use semantics to devalue leftist views, plain and simple.

I'm not sure where rape comes into the picture? Are you saying that gay rights protect a gay person from rape? - Damned - and all this timke I thought "gay rights" were an anti-discrimination gimmick.

As I noted in a previous post - you don't know a person is gay unless they go out of their way to tell you.

Given historical fact, I can understand why certain groups such as blacks might need certain protections from institutionalized discriminatory practices - a black person can't hide the color of their skin - unlike that homosexual who looks like all of the other whites, a black person looks different.

Why can't a baby in the womb have the same protections that gays get?

BBL is baffled: Why can't a baby in the womb have the same protections that gays get?

SH: Because a baby in the womb is not a Real Live Human Being with the rights of an American citizen. HTH your understanding

Huh?

How would I know those two guys are homos unless they're holding hands or kissing or acting in some perverted manner. Why would I even bother looking at their car for bumper stickers?

Meanwhile you sshow your own bigoted colors by saying "Not like a religious nut wearing a cross or having a jesus fish on their car"

You loonie lefties are a riot - murdering babies is ok, but ensuring the ability of two perverts to sodomize each other is paramount.

What a fricken joke.

The only people who believe in "anti-discrimination" laws are those individuals who pride themselves showing off the bigots they are.

Could it be that "anti-discrimination" fascists believe that some minorities are inherently inferior? Nah, couldn't be. :ohno:

Is that why they call liberalism the soft bigotry of low expectations?

My name isn't Darryl Parsons. As a business owner, I am ALWAYS going to hire the most qualified candidate, no matter what they look like or their personal beliefs, because it is in MY best interest to do so.

Unless of course there happens to be "anti-discrimination" law against minority 'A' -- I'll avoid those people like the plague so I don't get slapped with a lawsuit when I want to fire them for something related to their job. :ohno: :lolBIG:

Martin Luther King Jr who dreamed of a color blind society would be absolutely ASHAMED of all the bigots in today's Democrat party.

Blacks, women, gays etc. should not be voting Democrat because -- drum roll! -- Democrats have a VESTED INTEREST in seeing them FAIL! :missingte

Republicans have a vested interest in seeing EVERYONE succeed. :103631605

Maybe what we REALLY need is an "anti-discrimination" law for stupid people to prevent them from voting for Democrats. :think2:

It's all pretty moot Markie since you've never owned a business nor do you own one now.

No one will sue you for your bigoted attitudes.

I would though, be interested to know of incidents where you've been forced to "embrace sin"......lol

Keep lobbying the govt for your free :coke:, "barnman." You're doing your country a great service. :ohno:

You are obviously one of the very few losers who DO NEED govt protection from the majority who would love to see you homeless passed out in a putrid smelling dumpster.

I wouldn't hire you if the govt paid me!

I tried, bblight, I tried, believe me I tried. I asked him politely to avoid me. For months I DID ignore him, but the troll didn't back off.

So now I'm going after him just as viciously and personally as he goes after others -- yourself included.

If you need a good laugh, watch what happens the next time he starts another one of his deplorable "pro psychedelics for children" threads.

"barnman" is an immature prepubescent child with a ton of missing braincells. The only logical response to his hate-filled ad hominem rants is an overdose of his own medicine.
