Tizzy,

There is little agreement as to the exact beginning and end of the baby boom. In the United States, demographers have put the generation's birth years at 1946 to 1964, although the U.S. birthrate (per 1,000 population) began to decline after 1957.

whereas those kids the baby boomers.....became sex hippies and liberated :missingte
Ya most did for awhile but then they wised up. Bill Gates, and the Steve’s, Forbes, Jobs and Woziniak to name a few along with a much lesser known (myself) were all baby boomers.
We’re really not all that bad. :toast:

we'll see how all the tizgloominess plays out going forward

so many kids growing up in split households really has an impact on long term economic stability....priorities change

i'm not blaming individuals don't get defensive

i'm blaming society as a whole

Modern liberal culture = the diminution of traditional American values.

On this point we agree, tizgloom.

yup our way of going about explaining it though is a bit different though

yours is more hate filled and in your face rather than giving a more moderate explaination such as I that might resonate with your typical liberal a bit better

Not getting defensive and I took no offense to your post. Just pointing out that the baby boom generation was responsible for the biggest economic boom the US has seen. We are retiring now, the torch has been past. We’ll see if this generation is up to the task.

now your gonna make me mad

its social engineering for short term gains

buying lotsa homes and shit you don't need on credit

saving and providing for your families future isn't important anymore having lots of nice stuff is

see the big picture dave....think long term

my generation and those younger than me are in for some gloomy times

its up to us to get back to family values, fiscal responsibility, and trying to get this ship pointed the right direction

but its so hard so many divorced kids have so many scars left and just take after their parents and follow the same path with having lots of kids outta wedlock, divorcing alot, sleeping around....etc...

all you baby boomers have your heads in the sand thinking everything is okay....well you know what its not okay....and if we don't take action soon future generations are fucked beyond belief

i rant because i care about my country and am concerned for its future.....i come off as a america hater i'm far from it....just sick of all the liberalism and complancancy

Cut their life line and let them swim.

Simple.

Too many modern mama's boys falling for the "compassion" pitch. :ohno:

Gay rights indicates that gays have or had no rights. What rights are gays being denied?

Womens rights indicates that women are being denied rights. What rights are women being denied?

I do undersatnd a concept called human rights where all people are extended the same "equality of rights" for all.

What I find fascinating is that "gay" or "womens" rights indicate that someone or some group is not being extended the same "rights" - upon reflection I must agree that some segments of society are in fact being denied certain "rights"

I see that babies in the womb are denied a right to life, liberty and any persuit of hapiness - any of them may be murdered for any reason at any time without any right to a fair and impartial hearing.

I see that those people who try to practice Christianity suffer an unending barrage from the secular humanist fascists who would deny any and all rights to those who believe in God.

I see those who would scrifice to earn more would be taxed at a higher rate while those who do nothing to better themselves would gain from that taxation. Where are the rights of the meritorious people who oversee the engines of industry? Why should they be taxed at all for their sacrifice?

The left would define "rights" in their own terms while denying the rest of us any say in the matter - where are our rights?

OK, there are no rights. Let someone rape your damn wife and then I'll question her "right" to not be raped. Everyone knows what someone means when they talk about rights. Right wing kooks use semantics to devalue leftist views, plain and simple.

I'm afraid it all started in the 1950s, tiz.

The most successful, prosperous, courageous, masculine generation in American history produced the most spoiled, rebellious, passive, stupid, feminized generation EVER known as the "baby boomers."

All the boomers are now the deep 'thinkers' at virtually every institution... academia, media, politics... except for the one: the military. The military is the only institution that hasn't been feminized, because the military cannot afford to adopt liberal values: pie-in-the-sky feeling centric theories. That is why I love the military so much -- and why Americans have such high regard for America's BEST institution. :103631605

These things go in cycles. We'll just have to make due and take full advantage whenever we see the next political wave working in our favor.

STFU? What are you going, tizbear? Beat me up? :missingte

How old do you think I am? I'm 30, not baby boomer age but far from young also. I don't think it's an age gap because I know 60 year old women that are socialists to the bone. They go to protests and get as angry as any college age kid.

He thinks growing up is caring about money and nothing else. I guess if money is all you have then you latch on to it and embrace it. I have to much good stuff in my life to care about money that much. Don't get me wrong. I love having money. I buy things and have fun with my money. But the difference is that the conservatives have NOTHING else.
