Love to see you in that situation. Most cops have a attitude, but you woukd to putting up with the shit they have to on a daily basis.

Bottom line, listen to the man with the badge, especially when he says I'm going to shoot. Kid was a dipshit. If anyone says other wise, well.......

Someone put a gun to his head and forced him to become a cop?

Anyone that considers this guy a hero for killing an unarmed kid has some real issues.

I've never understood why some people think because a person is unarmed, that means they can't kill a person or cause serious bodily harm.

The "gentle giant" outweighed the cop by 100 pounds. It doesn't matter if he was armed or not. If the "gentle giant" got a hold of the cop, he would've killed him. It doesn't matter if he had a gun or not.

Stop saying that shit.

These young kids should have more respect for authority......Brown got what he deserved but it doesn't change the fact that some cops abuse their power.....
Cops can abuse power but if you're not a smart ass, they settle down. Many people talk themselves into trouble.

I really believe that and it has nothing to do with race. The kid had no weapon and the officer shot off a number of bullets. To me, being punched does not constitute a life threatening situation and the use of a gun should be the last option not the first.

Since you've chosen to remain (or are acting) completely ignorant of this situation, let me help you:

After striking Officer Wilson, Brown handed the Cigarillos to Dorian Johnson and Wilson attempted and failed to gain control over Brown’s right arm. He described it as fruitless as “a five year old holding on to Hulk Hogan” (p. 212).
Wilson again attempted to open his door and escape the vehicle, but Brown blocked his escape and swung another full power punch and hit Wilson in the face again.

Officer Wilson began to run through his options, and ruled out his chemical spray because Brown’s hands were in front of his face (rendering the spray unlikely to hit his eyes and work), and the vehicle confines would likely result in Wilson getting the spray into his eyes as well. Wilson’s ASP baton was behind his right hip and trapped against the SUV’s seat, and even if he could deploy it, there wasn’t room to deploy and swing it with any force. He couldn’t use the flashlight on the passenger seat as an impact weapon either, for the same reason. There simply wasn’t enough room to swing it (p. 213-214).

============

In other words, Wilson's firearm was his last option.

Also note: Brown had his hands on Wilson's gun and twisted it so it was pointed at the officer.

Where you get these ideas about this event is not at all clear.

Who is going to apologize to Officer Wilson for causing him to lose his job and live in hiding because "hands up don't shoot" was a complete and utter lie?

Wow, u read everyday all day about thugs being shot by police officers DOING their job. Last I heard you obey authority when they say stop, or your under arrest. So why this is an issue is just plain jackass

the thug was a thug, thief, assaulter , and destined to be a murder in the near future. Cop did his job and probably saved more lives and assault and theft down the road

justice was served , jury proved that, no more to see here so time move on

crying shame that the racists tried to make something out if it and destroyed property, arson, and theft which are all crimes and they should be convicted in a court of law

In Texas, if someone steals your property and you immediately pursue the person to get your property back, you can shoot them. They can be running down the street with your blender in their hand and you can gun them down in the street like a dog.

So because he's a cop does that mean that he shouldn't defend himself?

Of course he should defend himself, does that make him a hero? I'm saying nobody forced him to become a cop and there is certain protocol to follow.

It sounds as if he did follow protocol. According to the 12 members of the grand jury who were presented all of the evidence. What am I missing?

If he didn't follow protocol, the grand jury would've moved forward with at least one of the lesser charges.

yeah the thug also followed protocol

the kid knew he was going to spend his life in jail or get shot that's the consequence of his decision making

Ok, so we are in agreement.

The Police Officer did his job. The Police Officer therefore should not be being used as a scapegoat for all the thugs to be rioting and looting.

I'm sure that you agree also that this poor Police Officer shouldn't have death threats or be forced to resign his position within the Police Department.
