Make them pay, tell them we're cashing in some debt they own

But it shouldn't be us acting on our own, all of the western civilzation has to unite

At least make them pay for the easily identifiable issues they caused

This!!! All countries in Europe, North America, etc need to band together and tell China FU!!!
You have 30T in debt from us, well now it's 15T

We also need to incentivize U.S. businesses to move all of their manufacturing out of China and back into the U.S..
More people working here, wages will rise. I have no problem paying a little more for something made here and supporting people who live here

Need to choke China and their economy. I would also pretty much make it difficult for China to do business here and as far as owning businesses here would
make that pretty difficult to near impossible.

Granted all of that would be difficult due to our politicians in Washington being bought and owned by the CCP.
ALl the major players pretty much are all in bed with CCP

We need to hurt China as much as possible, need to put the CCP out of business.

This is a strange venue for rallying a public response to the actions of a foreign government

Launch your campaign and report back ASAP

What should we do ? This can't go unpunished ..

Sanctions ? Retaliation ? Thoughts ?

I think what most people are going to argue about it on the internet and then look for the government to help them. Based on the most recent government interventions, I am not expecting very much. So what I am going to do is take personal responsibility for myself and take care of myself, so that I come out of this ok.

I will also vote against anyone in government who does not take significant action against China, but no one else in the country is going to join me, so that won't have much effect.

Sanctions

Cash that debt they own

Tariffs

Get the essential supply chains back in a favorable position

Let's see how some of these politicians hold their ground with China.. Might be tougher to do with the current climate

Sounds good and that will hit them when it hurts.

The only problem is, many Americans do business in China so those Americans will get hurt.
The Chinese own businesses in the States

I agree with an earlier post saying that Biden wont do much if elected. Trump will at least attempt to strong arm them.

Maybe team up with our allies and buy less from them?

As a citizen , whatever I can do. Support whoever is willing to take on China. Won't buy anything China either.. Even if it cost me more.

That answers your question. We are going to change the people we support and stop buying anything that comes from China. That sounds like a definitive answer to your question.

What do you propose we do as a country?

So, we have a large section of folks who complain about not being able to find a good job ...and many illegal folks willing to work hard..

So we start manufacturing in all the urban cities that need to be revitalized, we hire all these minorities who complain about no jobs available for them, we speed up the legalization of illegals....

We understand it will cost several hundred to thousands of dollars more per household to pay extra for Made In America

We don’t give breaks to corporations that work outside America

Could list numerous but we have a better chance of 90% approval rating of Trump by Democrats than doing anything significant quickly

Remember $$$ is the root of all evil and powerful men on both sides are in no hurry to give it up for Made in America versus made cheaply to improve bottom line

But I’m just rambling......face)(*^%

Two factors of why no manufacturing and or very little if any is ever leaving China:

1) Wal Mart

2) McKinsey & Company

Read the book The Bully Of Bentonville by Anthony Bianco. Couple other books on this
total shit head, loser, reprobate Walton family/company (Wal Mart) that are out there as well.
Those Fuckers from their Founder who started the send everything to China movement back
in the early 70's to the dregs running it today , will be putting a stop to any movement to bring
back any manufacturing from there. Thats a stone cold Lock if we are wagering on this. They
will fight any movement to bring back any manufacturing from China every step of the way.

McKinsey & Company is like a advisory/consulting firm/lobbyist type of company that also played
a part in the building up of China. These guys will be fighting just as hard as Wal Mart against any
movement to bring anything back. They also have been helping fuck this country along with Wal Mart
since the late 60's/early 70's as well.

You make a very good point/ All it takes is for Americans to stop shopping at Wal Mart. If we do that, we are doing something about China sending their disease over here. If we don't do that, if we continue shopping at Wal Mart, it is clear we are perfectly fine with what China did to us.

not much tbh

too many important people make too much $ off globalization for anything other than window dressing

my guess is people will throw some suggestions out there but they will likely either be A. smallball or B. non-starters

probably about time those important people get exposed.. our country is more important than those important people

Agree with you 1,000%

I have not been in one of those scummy wal mart stores in like over 15 years.
