I'm getting the impression that next months package is going to be closer to $4,000 and not the quite the $5,000 that this months charge was.
All kidding aside, I've been in some long term packages and sometimes it pays to cut your losses. I know it will kill you if they go on a streak but it's something you have to consider. I've been in some packages with the illustrious ATS consultants and they could lose five, six nights in a row with mostly favorites and it would kill your bankroll. Then they'd have one good night and blast it everywhere that they killed the books. It tempts you to continue with their picks but ultimately I made the right decision by passing on all their plays. They lost much more than they admitted. DON'T believe many of these websites. 90% of them inflate their records, don't factor in juice, use lines noone can get, "forget" their losing night, promote the hell out of their few winning nights, etc.
If you are going to chase, use proper money management techniques. Anytime you invest long term, you need to have good money management skills. I know it's easier said than done and I know I have weakened at times but it must be followed particularly when you are chasing. Noone should be wiped out by the first week unless they were going for the kill and that always spells disaster.
Also, Chuba and the others shouldn't be taking any shots on this. The offer was presented and people made their decision to invest or not without any pressure. It's always more economical to get a group together for long term purchases to cut the individual cost. Now, personally I think $5k without some form of guarentee is ridiculous for one month but everyone was aware of the cost going in and made their decision. Live and learn, we all do. But the ringleaders don't deserve any backstabbing. It appears there were no backroom deals between them and the tout. Proof of payment appears to have been made and everything seems in order.
Hope you guys ultimetely win or make the right financial decision to chase or not under good money management techniques. We should all be rooting for each other to win (or limit losses). The house has enough of an advantage and maybe an unbeatable one. VERY few people make a living off this long term, so don't quit your day job.
Finally, much to many of these touts are lazy and give out mostly favorites. Nightly in the forum, the consensus from touts are nearly always on the favorites. It's to the point that you can look at the lines in the morning, screen the - 130 to - 160 favorites and watch all the touts pound those games. The books know this and know that the average Joe has more confidence in a favorite than an underdog. However, picking all favorites is a recipe for disaster. Somewhere there is an annual summary that at the end of nearly all baseball seasons, it shows that if you picked every favorite versus picking every dog, you would certainly lose under both circumstances but you would lose much more on the favorites. So be careful if all they are doing is giving favs. Tempting, I know, but certainly not always the way to go.
So, as a final thought, GOOOOOOOOOOOO Doctors. Make these people some $$$. Good Luck.
