ESRB Invenstigation Conclusion

(NASDAQ: TTWO) announced today that the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has changed the rating of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on all platforms from "Mature 17+" (M) to "Adults Only 18+" (AO) because of the so-called "hot coffee mod," an unauthorized third party modification that alters the retail version of the game. Take-Two cooperated fully with the ESRB's investigation.
As a result of the re-rating of the game, Take-Two is lowering guidance for the third fiscal quarter ending July 31, 2005 to $160 to $170 million in net sales and a net loss per share of $(0.40) to $(0.45) to provide reserves for the value of the title's current North American retail inventory. Accordingly, guidance for the fiscal year ending October 31, 2005 is also being lowered to $1.26 to $1.31 billion in net sales and $1.05 to $1.12 in diluted earnings per share.

The Take 2 Games announcement also states that "Rockstar Games to cease manufacture of current version of title and offer a downloadable patch to prevent modification of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for PC."
Although plenty of copies of the game have already been sold, this will definitely be a blow to the future sales of San Andreas and maybe even the mod community. Also, could this affect future console ports of the game?

Madden 06 will be a lot of fun. It's best when you have a group of friends that play the game. There will be a ew features that will be awsome like QB vision which will allow you to throw the ball only to the guy you have in your view. That is the best thing yet to be incorporated in any football game. I hate when my friend throws a ball to a dude that is totally on the other side of the field. It will make this game much more realisting. Also those close up images are just video clips so the graphics will prolly be the same.
Just Watching that gets me a little emotional, I wish I was still playing the game and I had'nt beat it yet. It's an expierence like none other.Hache Man said:

Can someone talk me into playing the GTA series. I am one of the few video game players who have never ever played one single version of this game. For some reason or another I have never felt that pull to give this game a chance. I keep reading great reviews but for some reason no one has been able to talk me into pulling the trigger.
If I was talked into playing GTA. Would it be ok to play SA first, or should I pick up one of the earlier titles first?

Just play San Andreas first. I felt the same way as you before.. i was just watching friends play. But one day i got the game and just started a file. When the story started and the characters start to evolve it just sucks you in man. Currupt cops... gang fights... back stabbing friends....and much much more. You go workout... grab something to eat... get a tatoo.. buy some pimp clothes and get your self a nice cut and you good. It's a huge game with a great story. It feels great when you come back to Los Santos after all the shit you went through in different parts of the City.

I gaurantee if you buy this game chop, we wont see you much over the next month. Most addicting and intense game ever. You'll get figidity with withdrawls when youre not playing becuase youre not getting the same level of whatever that chemcial is called shooting around in your brain.
