I don't see how his newbie status should make any difference and I don't see any strange circumstances. He joined one day, hit it big, then decided to cash the next day. It seems to me that he played the system LEGALLY and Rio doesn't like it. With all due respect Fish, I don't think a book that takes three days to pay should be considered outstanding.

Like you said...."it SEEMS to you he played the system LEGALLY."

Rio thinks otherwise and are investigating the situation and we will hear what they say tommorrow.

If you feel that RIO is not handling this in an appriopriate matter, then by all means do not play there. Nobody is twisting your arm.

It's true drunkguy, take it for what it's worth, and rio wasn't who I got this info from, since another website is reporting that

So if he did take $300 and turned it into 10k (wish I could do that....hell wish I could turn 5k into 10k lol) what raises suspicions? Was he not wagering on races and bases? What foul play could have been involved?

Rio's BS'ing and you know that Fish; this is the Finger Lakes thing redux. A guy (and a newbie at that) smokes the books and decides to take the money and run and the books claim "fraud" to avoid paying. They found no fraud then and they'll find none here; if they do claim to have found fraud and refuse to pay then I think you should demand complete details and documentation and show them on this website. This is why I don't play with ANY off-shore books Fish.

I don't know any member of this forum at all. The reason I showed up during the FL fiasco was because a poster on another horse racing website, of which I'm a member, posted a link. That's how I found out about this place; if I had known about this website earlier I would've joined earlier. By the way, they didn't find any fraud at FL; did they clevfan?

This issue does not even remotley resemble the Finger Lakes situation. I am certain there will be a full explanation from Rio management on Monday. Please be patient until then.

Thanks, wil.

Cleve - somehow I doubt that. That was a joke post by JMAN and not in amyway sponsered by Rio or the Rx. Just another SG thread.

Cleve - Shrink comments in a lot of threads, so what. You want to have a trial for someone go right ahead. As far as what you hear or heard about, I can only say that its been my experience that one shouldn't believe even half of what we hear.

wil, not looking to argue...I know wht I know, but I knew what I knew with sg and his 3 or 4 names too,,,nothing will surprise me I guess....that is what I am saying. But bottom line is, they paid off sick due to his forum presence, so lets see what happens here....

I also think that plasmaman/hate the river card, knows the culprits....he was too early to jump in and assume, therefore giving it away

Something is fishy here.

I have been with Rio almost exclusively since 2001 or so.
I have wagered many many many many x 100 times.

Unfortunately..I lose more than I win...but I have made nuuuuuuuuumerous deposits...and I have requested many withdrawals...I have NEVER ONCE in 3 years!!!!!!!!!!!!! had a problem...Not even a HINT of a problem....

In order for Rio to feel fraud is involved, I truly believe something/someone tipped them off..and that's why we haven't heard anything like this in a while....

Im sure that there are people who are even posting in this thread that can inform us of large withdrawals without a problem....

I have been on a luck streak and I have been withdrawing lately with NO issues EACH time.

If it smells like fish it's usually a big one.

Those are the clients every book will pay promptly. And if books are smart they will even sometimes pray that you win!

Wait till you are in the black with a book.

Clev... reread my post. I am not taking the players side. The minute the poster said he made horse wagers I knew this would be a case of either pool manipulation or past posting which is why I wanted him to post details. Before you accuse someone get your facts straight.
