14 young black men killed by cops? I don't believe it. When you have 120 in the entire country per year, the numbers don't add up.

So, roughly 1.4 a year? Could be from a young black man robbing a store or a young black man holding his girlfriend hostage? On the flip side, how many young white men were shot in Ferguson over the last 10 years?

As you can see, there is no upward climbing trend that would indicate the neighborhoods should distrust the cops.

Really weird to watch people blame sharpton or obama. Everyone can agree that sharpton is an idiot but the guy who shot the cops, would shoot sharpton if he thought it could help himself in any way. And if sharpton died last year or obama didn't say a word about any incident...this murderer still kills the cops and himself.

Extremely unlikely. Many in the black community can't stand the sharptons of the world. Nobody can speak with 100 percent accuracy on why people do what they do...but I'm confident that sharptons words did not motivate this guy.

I might have missed this, but when did Obama say protesters should kill cops? If he did call for that then yeah he's a scumbags and should resign. Supporting people's right to protest doesn't make him culpable, at all. Conservatives really go out of their way to scapegoat Obama on everything that goes wrong. It's getting kind of pathetic.

I think it's more than just the killings. From what I gathered from some of the interviews that I've seen, it's the overall treatment of minorities by the cops there, such as random stops and harassment, slow to answer 911 calls by police and emergency in black neighborhoods etc.

Well, they've been bitching and moaning that black cops are not being hired in Ferguson. Problem is, no qualified black applicants are applying.

I love how everybody wants to make this a political issue. To say that Obama or Holder or any other politician were egging on a mob to assassinate cops is absolutely ludicrous. Get a fucking grip. I promise you that they see this as very tragic just like every other rational person. The problem is we want our leaders to take a stand on injustices. And when they don't, we call them ineffectual. So they can't win either way. The fact is at least half of it is a police problem. Probably a good 20% of the cops out there aren't exactly doing the lord's work. The NYPD could probably use a good purge.. Kind of like what they had to do 40 years ago after Frank Serpico exposed their corruption. And Ferguson probably needs a whole new makeover. Beginning with amending a few cop friendly laws that are still on the books..

You keep referencing Ferguson like what Darren Wilson was wrong or something. Nothing needs to be done except young black men need to stop robbing liquor stores and assaulting police officers. Maybe have a family where a husband and wife are still together and actually mentor their kids? Maybe that's what needs a new makeover. Stop blaming the cops. Blame the parents.
