The NFL brand seems to be doing ok. Fox gave them 3.3 billion for Thursday night games for the next five years. And Budweiser has thrown a ton of money at it as is it called "Thursday Night Football presented by Bud Light". (Maybe you should boycott Budweiser) Also, I know at the time, the Patriots and Jags playoff game was the highest rated TV program in a year. Wow, if I was a business, I would love to have those problems. Bottom line, the NFL will be here long after Trump is gone. Everyone who says they aren't going to watch, don't. The NFL doesn't need you. (You will probably watch anyhow). If you really want to get behind something, get behind NASCAR and watch cars go around in a circle. Trump says everyone in NASCAR stands for the anthem. They may, but their ratings and attendance have absolutely disintegrated in the last 10 years. I know one thing, I have been watching football on Sundays for over 50 years. If you think I'm going to let a few guys standing for the anthem and Trump's opinions change my Sunday's, it ain't going to.

I'll say it again, professional athletes talking about politics is bad for their personal brand. Black or white.

That's right, Republicans buy sneakers too. Michael Jordan simply knew better. Contrast King Jordan to an ass clown like LeBron who walks into the arena wearing a $46,000 outfit one night, then Nike "equality" shoes the next night.

I am so glad to see Trump continue to stick it to these phony prima donna poseurs and am looking forward to seeing NFL attendance and TV ratings plummet even further!

Already asked him that with no answer

If you want to play that card, play it out the rest of your life. I agree that some of the players have done that, but the majority have done nothing outside of their kneeling/protest

Their is an opposite side of people who doesn't like how the NFL handled kaperknick or handled the protesting. Their are lots of people refusing to watch because of how they handled those things. So it goes both ways. Both sides not watching affects the revenue. But, the NFL only tries to accommodate the group refusing to watch over a made up narrative. The people refusing to watch because of how they handled things actually have a beef LOL. You don't.

Let me tell you what it is....It is being scared. That is 110000000000000000% it. White people are scared they will lose power in this country. Which is impossible imo but still what everyone is up in arms about. They are afraid this was going to turn into black people gaining more power. You know how they handled that in the late 60's right?

dude... lol this is SOOO Racist.. lol.. come on man..
U gotta chill.. the white man isnt afraid of losing SHIIIIT.. lol we already lost it..

Its OPEN FKNG season on white men, and it has been for YEARRRS.. lol

Idiotic... lol

Lol, what exactly did he win? I’m sure you would consider him a winner if he butted into your business and told you how to run things. I mean isn’t that what you guys always preach, that the government should butt in and tell businesses how they should operate? Oh wait, that’s the other side that wants that. So please explain how his butting in and telling a business how to operate is a win? You seem to have all the answers so explain how his butting in here is a win.

There is no hypocrisy or inconsistency.

Liberals don't believe the government 'telling' anyone anything, liberals believe in force. Liberals believe in government mandates and bureaucracy - shoving their backward ideology down everyone's throats. That's not what is happening here.

I see no such threats coming from Trump. Trump is simply rallying his pissed off base (most NFL fans) calling out these kneeling clowns for the hypocritical phonies they are. In this screwed up PC culture, Trump says what everyone else is thinking...and the crowd cheers.

I love it! I have never witnessed a president use the bully pulpit as effectively as this one. Not even Reagan. He literally has BOTH friend and foe eating out of the palm of his hand.

Interesting how two white NFL players (Howie Long & JJ Watt) gave their entire salary for the season to a cause......have any black NFL players given their entire salary for the season to their social injustice cause or whatever cause they're complaining about?

Just wondering how the black athletes are contributing to the causes they're worried about........

Just showing these two white athletes were willing to donate a years salary, have any black athletes done so?

I don't know who does what on the off season as far as their causes because once the SB is over, I stop following the NFL until pre season. I do follow the NFL draft but that's about it.

Yes, a lot of these guys do give back to the community........but I was referring more so to the kneeling & how they can focus on that cause & why they're doing it at work. Try doing it outside of work, try going to Chicago & figure out why so may shootings & deaths of young black men, etc.......I think I stated my statement wrong earlier.

I do know Malcolm Jenkins does a lot with the police departments etc. in attempting to mend fences. He's gone on a lot of ride alongs and met with police chiefs etc.

They almost all give back. You just have to google the team and you can get a list of the players charities. Heck, even Michael Bennett gave back all his endorsment money in 2017 to a bunch of inner city programs. Not sure what endorsements he may have this year,(thats a whole different story)...Maybe he can contribute with his salary now.

Michael Bennett is a terrible example. Guy slandered three minority LVPD officers than was proven to be a liar. Then, he was arrested and charged with a felony for shoving an old lady in Houston. He's a scumbag.
