What a runup at the end of the day. Thats 3 days in a row the stock closed at its day high.

Up to $3.96 now from $3.41.

You could sell now and it would be a great trade.

My suggestion would be to tighten up your stops to about $3.50 a share to lock in a nice profit.

But let this thing fly as far as we can.

All indications show we are in for something huge.

I expect to break $4 tomorrow.

Insider buying has left in the last 10 days.
Thats a good thing. That means we timed it right.
You will never see massive insider buying right before the big news hits. Too risky on the part of the insiders.
Thats what I was talking about the other day. Insider buying does not mean instant gains, it just means that something good is going to happen in the not too distant future.
The complete stopping of insider purchases all of a sudden tells me that the not too distant future could be very soon.
The insiders are positioned now.
Everything is in place.

Phillip Frost for the 1st time in almost a year has been real quiet with his buy orders the last 10 trading days.

This is a textbook sign that something really big is right around the corner.

He wanted to get all his chips in before the big news to avoid any insider trading problems.
Because once he knows something thats not public and trades on it blatantly he could be subject to severe SEC problems.

If you were to ever see a textbook example of bullish insider trading and then a quiet period this is the stock.

We are up to 3.90 now from 3.41 in less then 10 trading days.

The buying pressure is strong.
The insiders are positioned, and the shorts are on the verge of getting runoff.

Two questions...

1. The market has runup like 8% the last 9 days so don't you think that is carrying the stock some too and its too early to tell if your trade was a good call?

2. Where did you learn to handicap insider buying so thoroughly?

The market has runup less then 6% the last 10 days.
OPK has runup over 18% in the same time.

Sure the overall market being higher helps all stocks.
But this stock has far and away outperformed the market.

For question number 2, I sent you a link months ago on how to do what I am doing.

We hit the 4 mark today.

Stock closes on its day high for the 4th day in a row.
No news yet to verify why this stock is going up yet.
Im sure its coming.

Its good to get in early.
Be prepared to sell on the news.

I will be watching insider SELLING real close to figure out exit strategy.
That could be many months from now, and a long way down the line, but I will keep a close watch.

Not much resistance before 4.20ish.

could get a really nice bounce in the coming days.

Has anyone noticed how this stock just explodes at the end of the day almost everyday?

It starts the day off a little down, then around 1PM it starts climbing, then in the last hour it just starts taking off like crazy.
This has been going on for over a week now.
I dont know what it is.

Its not insider trading. This is coming from the outside.
It happens like clockwork almost every single day.

We are up to $4.06 now

I noticed it does move late in the day. Seems to be just trickling upward daily.

I was wondering if you still follow HOTT? It had a 13% move on thurs and pulled back 5% today but its at $8 now. Was the insider buying on that from the CEO, how long did it take post insider buying spree for the move and any other info you have on that 1. I noticed you've shared a lot on this 1 so figured you probably had a lot of info on HOTT.

Also, I did read some of the book you told me about. It was ok but to be honest only a few pages really tackled insider trading in great depth.

Anyway best of luck chop

That was just the beginner book to cut your teeth with. It was intended to just give you an idea. If you are ready for deeper reading on the subject I can send you more info.

It gets deeper and deeper. I just sent you that info to get you an idea.

Although that book was not very deep, the author of that book is George Soros right hand man. He gives Mr Soros the ins and outs of the inside daily.

As for HOTT.

Thats a great example of my weakness.

I am having a hard time learning when to sell a stock. It is much easier for me to figure out when an insider is bullish on a stock then it is for me to figure out when an insider is bearish.

There are many legit reasons for someone to sell stock that has nothing to do with an insider being bearish.

This has caused me to sell stock and leave money on the table.

I left HOTT too early.
Its still going up, but I just have to look at in the perspective that I almost doubled my money in less then 3 months.

This is what I did to test my strategy about 2 years ago:

I looked for bullish insider buying using a real tough criteria.
I left all the semi bullish insider buying off my screen.

I just found about the 20 most bullish insider stocks I could find.

I put them all in my stock screen with the date and the last sale and ignored it for a year.

I came back a year later and compared the current price to the price I put it on my screen a year earlier.

Out of the 20 something stocks only 2 or 3 was worth less then they were a year earlier.

I had one that was almost 5x more then it was the year before.

When I added all the stocks together, they out performed the market by over 3x during that period.

Yes I know the market was up overall by a good bit during that time, but not nearly as much as the stocks on my screen.

That was the day I started trading 100% on insider trading.

I have been happy ever since.

This frost guy does seem to be one sharp guy

At first I was like so what some billionaire is placing a slice of his overall wealth in this company ..... but he's a self made billionaire and based on his history is really sharp

Also when looking into him I ran across DRJ (sports memorabilia, building client base, doing websites for NBA teams etc) ....... he owns 10 percent of the company .... Maybe something else to think about

4.42 in after-hours. Thats around 30% gain in a few weeks since Chop recommended the stock. Anything can happen any day of the week but looks like a great call Chop. Really gotta hand it to you on this 1 man. The initial run-up I wasn't sure if it was riding the market wave or not but this past week its continued to be a freight train even with the overall sea of red we've had.

It's a good call.

It's rising steadily and the chart looks good.

Might top out at $4.50 - $4.75.

I thought we would hit some sort of resistance at around the 4.22 mark but it blew right past that point.

The insider buying has stopped 100% in the last 2 weeks. No form 4's have been submitted in over 2 weeks.

This is a good sign. Insider's cant trade on soon to be news without the risk of SEC violations.

We still have no official news yet from this stock.
Once the news hits I expect a great pop.

I have read a story from a source that I don't trust that says a buyout with a $12 per share premium is about to be announced.

Im not going to get excited about that because I dont know if this source is legit.

Can you reveal the source? If not its cool but I wouldn't mind seeing it. $12 per share seems like an insane premium though.

I read some buyout stuff just on internet message boards. All i could really find, the consensus seemed to be $7 would be the buyout point. Although it did make it sound like it would happen sooner than later but I guess this is all just heresay at this point.

It could well be a gold mine.

My biggest regret ever was JAZZ, I found that one when it was trading @ 2 bucks. If I let my money sits there until today, I could be looking for 2nd home in Naples, FL now.

I took a profit at 89% gain and I never get back in, I was hoping that it would dip so I can reload and that motherfucker keeps rising.

I'm still kicking my nuts every time I think about it.

Look out.

This thing is going crazy in after hours. Up to $4.48 per share since the closing bell.

I will be the 1st to say I have no idea what is going on.

I bought this stock strickly due to tremendous insider buying.
Thats what I base ALL my trades on for the last 6 months. I will never do it another way.

It works.

As far as the buyout rumor.
I would not put any stock into that. I saw it on a message board.
Stock boards are a cesspool filled with BS.

I probably should have never even brought it up.

With that said, it is undeniable that something huge is going on with OPK.

The great thing is the news thats causing this has not even gone public yet.
We are just getting started. This thing could explode and we got in at the ground floor.

You guys if you bought in when I 1st posted this thread got in at the very bottom.

I actually got in a few weeks before posting this thread at 3.62 which is not as good as what it was at when I started this thread.

I have been watching this company for the last 3 months knowing that this would take off in the near future. I was about 2 weeks early personally, but the timing of this thread was dead on perfect.

I only wish I would have put more money into this stock.

It traded 3 million shares today!

That is almost 4x the average volume.

There is still almost 10 million shares short on this stock.
This could cause a tremendous squeeze job that could pop this thing like you have never seen.

When a short covers there position it turns into a buy.

So when the upward movement of this stock causes the shorts to get out of there positions, not only will you have the upward movement, you will also have the shorts covering at the same time causing buying pressure to send the stock to the moon.

Then throw in the news thats about to hit thats not public yet on top of all that and you will see fireworks fellas.

Im excited big time right now.

Good luck to all of us.
