Favre?!?!
No wonder you are a bookie more than a bettor Scott.
I don't even know what that means.
You're from Boston so there's no shocker to anyone that Brady will be your favorite. I ain't never said anything bad about his talent level. Doing so, I would obviously lose any credibility on the subject.
Here are the facts. These are indisputable. No one QB is the best of all time. You will never ever get 100% consensus on this. Never. You will never get a 100 out 100 golf fans agreeing on who the greatest golfer all time is. Same in Baseball. Hockey where it should be Gretzky, there will be those who say Orr, Howe or Lemieux.
irrelevant. I always get a chuckle when I hear this argument. Certainly you aren't saying that Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino because he won a Super Bowl in Baltimore. Are you?
Montana never won a Super Bowl. The 49ers did and he was the quarterback. He was great no doubt but no one player on any TEAM sport wins a championship themselves. Hasn't happened before and won't happen in the future.
Ray Bourque was one of the greatest Defensemen of all time. His final season he got traded to the Avs and won his only Cup. If he didn't get traded right at the end, that wouldn't mean anything as far as his greatness goes.
Trent Dilfer? Big difference. Brady has lead his team there 5 times and won 3. How good were the Pats when Brady went down?
ok, how good would Brady have been in KC all these years? Having said that, Brady is extremely accurate and knows how to call game. No question he deserves to be mentioned in the same breathe as some of the best to have ever played QB in the NFL. With the Marinos, the Favres and the Mannings. Those 3 IMO changed the same as we know it today more than a Brady. Not taking away from him anything. Brady and Brees are great QB's no question.
The funny thing is when Brady was asked this question, he said himself Manning is better when saying he believed he was the best of all time. His quote exactly:
" To me, he's the greatest of all-time. What he's accomplished and the way that he studies, the way he prepares. He's really got a killer instinct too. I've been fortunate to be around him on a lot of occasions and we always hit it off; we have a great relationship and he's a friend of mine and someone that I always watch and admire because he always wants to improve, he always wants to get better and he doesn't settle for anything less than the best.So when you watch the best and you're able to learn from the best, hopefully that helps me get better."
Next......
The truth is if you ask most of his peers, Manning would be rated higher over Brady. I think they have a better idea of who is better overall. Plus no one & EGD means absolutely NO ONE will ever be better than Montana.
