Tom Brady is the best QB I've ever seen.

If Manning had the game that Brady just had the Manning haters would be raking him over the coals. Very Un-Bradylike. Poor time management at end of first half. 4th down where he could have run for first down and hesitated. Interceptons. He is still a great QB as Manning is. We are lucky to have seen some great QBs over the years. To pick who is better or worse is damn near impossible.

And at 35 years of age, hopefully he knows when to call it quits. Dump and dink. Awful performance at home, the big, glamor stage at nearly a double digit fav and....

ouch

I'm a big Brady/pats guy....

Have to be objective here, he wasn't very good yesterday. No way around it. Awful way to end first half. Huge play in the game was Welker drop.. Pats had just stopped Balt and were looking to go up 20-7, really a momentum changer..

As for Brady, he needs another championship. Tough to kill him for losing a conference championship. He's been in 7 in 11 seasons. That is insane for this era. But he needs that 4th ring to sit at the table with Montana. The near misses in his career will be looked at totally differently if he wins 4. If he doesn't get there, then I'll always feel that there was a little something left on the table during this run.

Also like to say that I feel this team is gearing up for a 5 year run. Defense is close to getting back to where it needs to be. Looked shitty yesterday, talib injury killed them, not deep enough to over come it. Pats were lucky to beat Balt last year, and were probably a year away this year.

He'll never sit at the table with Montana even if he were to get a 4th (which he won't). Montana was a perfect 4-0 in the big game whereas Brady has multiple horrible losses and benefited from cheating (spygate) in all his wins.

Montana is leaps and bounds better than Brady and it's not even close.

We get it you're a hater. But your "leaps and bounds... not even close" comments just show that you are an ignorant hack.

I'm sick of hearing how Tom Brady is better then Joe Montana. Anyone who thought that is nuts!

Not a single reputable sports writer has ever said that. In fact, they've all said just the opposite.. Montana is the GOAT by a wide margin. Brady isn't even #2 either, he's #7 or #8 on the all-time list. He's been a below average performer with multiple terrible losses in the Super Bowl and benefited from Belicheck's cheating in each of his 3 very close wins.

100% bullshit. Matter of fact, I heard the announcers say it (that Brady was the best ever) during the pre-game show yesterday.

have to take into account the salary cap era. no teams even come close to matching the pats/brady level of sustained success in salary cap era.

however, the 4-0 in super bowls could be the ulitmate trump card

I put the time outs at the end of 1H on belichek.
I put the loss on Welker and NE's secondary.

But I put pathetic on Brady. I lost a ton of respect for him when he didn't run for the first down and instead slid leaving 2 yards to go. This was for the right to go to the SuperBowl - pathetic.

HUH? It was the end of the half, a first down wasn't worth very much at the time. I don't recall the EXACT situation cause I was too busy being stunned him or Belichick were too big of idiots to call timeout but still...Wasn't the only issue being able to run another play (maybe 2)

There was another point in the game (I think 3Q) where Brady slid 2 yards short of a first down. Then went incomplete on second. Then hit a ref with a throw on 3rd. He easily would have gotten the 1st with no slide.

He's a smart chap. Knows his limitations, which include average arm strength and average under duress (being kind with the latter). Dunk and dink has kept him around at age 35. And as an effective qb!
Disagee with you in that the loss is on Brady IMO - flat out awful. no points in the second half? are u kidding me? nearly double digit fav at HOME and blows it.Age 36 around the corner, what does he have left?

Average arm strength and average under duress LOL. Good one.

I'm so diplomatic about this stuff it is not even funny. It is just sports, who cares if it really does shed light on how truly awful at analysis people are....

Some of you people bet on sports though? Why the hell would you do that?

I don't, it isn't that serious to me besides betting, I like breaking it down. And yeah there was some ridiculing there which is stupid of me cause in your other posts you seem normal.

However, to say Brady doesn't have pocket presence under duress and arm strength? WTF? C'mon man! If you wanna criticize I'm sure you can do a better job than just making stuff up.

I didn't say that.

If you think he has average arm strength and bad pocket presence, I just would do a little better job using your eyes/common sense.

If you want to paint me as bias you can it's fine. I'm sure the bookie I got in the SB last year betting NYG +2.5 wishes that were the case.
