Let's at least quote the site you get your talking points from as they clearly aren't your actual thoughts

https://www.outkickthecoverage.com/all-that-and-a-bag-of-mail-41/

It's an op-ed by some moron named Clay Travis that actually implies that Trump won the election due to Kaepernick. Yeah, you can't make this stuff up. Oh, and for the Day Traders out there, let's repeat the same stupid claim again...NIKE stock is down (for the rest of us that didn't sell any NIKE stock recently...we're not too concerned about it). There you go. I figured I'd save you the trouble.

I mean, you can say whatever you'd like but the POTUS will win every single time on this issue and he knows it hence the reason he tweets about it not to mention, America agrees with the President on this kneeling/NFL issue. It's not up for debate.

Thanks for reiterating Nike stock is down. I'm glad you've come around. It may go up so that remains to be seen. We'll see.

Damn it man I don’t have anything to burn in the fire pit when it finally quits raining

Life is still great without any Nike products

The overall market was down about 1% this week. Their stock lost around 2.4%, which is less than Under Armour and Adidas were down. UA lost 4% yesterday alone.

In other words, they're fucked and everyone should be shorting ASAP (just kidding for those who don't follow the market, nobody actually go and do that)

Please stop trying to use logic PatsFan. It doesn't work with "them".

The market has been down since campaign began. Either that is a fact or not. There's no "logic" about it.

Could it go up? Sure.

Yawn. Dodge and Deflect. You must have missed this part of his comment. I'll bold it for you and maybe you'll stop using your "ignoring" tactic.

If the commercial opened w/ him taking a knee then said be willing to risk everything or whatever the phrase was, then that would likely be problematic. But it was a typical Nike commercial, they would just never go down that road

They pimped Kaep out really, used him but in a completely apolitical way. Doubt he cares though as he got a check.

I could post all the links I want about how this campaign is hurting Nike but you wouldn't believe it so why even try?

UA was up so it leveled off. I don't track the other two.

I don't blame your hero here. He found a way to work less and get paid more. It's ever liberal's dream scenario. Good on him.

It didn't level off. It finished down 2.65% for the week.

Opened 18.90 on Tues, closed 18.40 on Friday.

What happened is that the Nike advertising campaign has been universally panned as unfavorable by all age demographics.

My assertion, since the start of this thread is this campaign would be a disaster for Nike. So far, their stock value is down and their favorability rating is way down.

At this point, what I told you a few days ago has played out despite your attempts to lump other apparel companies in with Nike. Could it change? Sure. We'll see in due time.

Let me just go ahead and post this again. Our liberal friends at the RX find it easy to overlook.

The entire stock market was down this week. Large caps tend to correlate to the market.

What would it take for you to be wrong? Nike stock is up in a year? It's up in 6 months?

What's a disaster? Define that in numerical terms.

What is your opinion?

No matter what, guys like Body have to admit at some point this campaign has had a negative impact on Nike Week 1. At some point, they have to wake up and understand pleasing the Twitter mob isn't real life.

I can't tell you what it would take for you to be wrong that this is a disaster for Nike. Disaster is a vague term, could mean anything. Disaster to me would be lagging S&P by 10-20% over a few years. But even that could be correlation/causation based on other issues.

I already told you I think the long-term effect of this will be very little. If you want me to define what very little means, I'd say Nike is efficiently priced right now.

I said I think it was a dumb decision but I think you underrate the level of analysis that goes into a decision like that. They spend 500k-1m on research about this stuff. Maybe there are flaws in their research just like pollsters had flaws re 2016 election, but the idea that MobbDeeper is CEO in his office penthouse suite and just mashing buttons is off base. It sounds cool, but not really true. That's probably the biggest misconception the anti-Nike people have I'd say.

There are methods to their madness. Even if you disagree w/ them.
