I saw the commercial for the first time last night .
You would have to be a pretty soft person to be offended honestly.

It was about as well done as can be considering the person in the ad.

Uh, you have no idea, none at all, if he's going to take a loss on the merchandise.

Do you come here to show everyone how dimitted you are?

I mean these hot takes are just nuclear, man....

"You will have to buy new shoes if you burn yours!!!!"

Wow, you're like super-duper smart and shit.

LMFAO

Moron. Let me give you a business lesson since you're obviously too stupid to understand the concept here. Typically a merchandiser like NIKE has their own stores and/or other stores that buy their merchandise at cost and mark it up. The fact of the matter is, if this owner is choosing to just mark down his merchandise not based on demand but rather his own personal protest, he has just severely cut into his profit margin (you might want to revisit my post since your reading ability is lacking...never said anything about a outright loss, idiot. But a reduction of profitablity...yes). From a business perspective, this is idiotic. Thinking outside the box for a second (I know you're not capable of that so don't strain your brain on it), he could leave prices as be and do something positive for his beliefs (such as donating the profits to a police charity and writing off the proceeds). But I know you couldn't possibly comprehend that type of logic, because you're clearly too busy finding whatever article you can without using any critical thinking skills.

Wow, you're like super-duper smart and shit. LMFAO

Local sports store boycotts Nike after Kaepernick ad, sells all Nike gear at 50%

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Stephen Martin has owned Prime Time Sports for 21 years but this is the year he's going to stop selling Nike gear.

Stuff like this gets way overblown in internet land.
Lots of local companies coming up with ways to find free pub via viral stories .

Maybe this store was planing on removing NIKE anyway and just attached all this for attention .
Or maybe they just had a few NIKE shirts and weren’t a primary brand of this store and wanted a name .

I would have a really hard time believing a sporting goods store in liberal colorodo would eliminate NIKE over this unless there going to anyway .

Yep. Agree with the bolded and I also have a hard time believing any store would do it unless they were going that way anyway. My wife, who's worked in corporate retail for 18 years, said as much when she saw the article.

And I never understood how people selectively decide to take moral stands and when not to take a stand .

For instance a Christian can open up a convience store and sell beer and cigs but protest when someone kneels for the flag .

How does this selective moral stand thing work?

Wow, I never really expected such an across the boards impact, I figured it would be rather minor if only because most Americans simply don't follow politics. Never mind such an ancillary issue

I posted this chart and Mob still doesn’t believe it’s true.

NFL ratings last night hit nearly a ten year low for an opening game. Were down another 8% off last year’s game.

It was about as well done as can be considering the person in the ad.

The Overton Window about what is acceptable political discourse has shrunk to a pretty narrow space at this point.

So stuff like this tends to be in the news more. People eat it up. I mean, people love this shit.

The more faux-controversy the better.

We switched over to the US Open for many of the early commercials so I figured I must have missed it. I only saw a single commercial with Kaepernick at the end. If that was the one, then yeah, anyone that would get up in arms over it is clearly hypersensitive and probably needs to see a psychiatrist to help them with their bipolar disorder.

Love Nike, always have. Love Air Jordan. He IS Nike. Fuck under armour. Took me awhile to even remember the name of the brand.

Having said that. Fuck Kaepernick. I support the NFL but I can't stand Kaepernick. I like his cause but he needs to find a different way to do it. It's annoying and I wonder what his real motives are. Since efforts to make a difference (and there is a need for change) or just a ''look at me campaign''

Meh. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NFL!! FINALLY HERE!

Let's at least quote the site you get your talking points from as they clearly aren't your actual thoughts

https://www.outkickthecoverage.com/all-that-and-a-bag-of-mail-41/

It's an op-ed by some moron named Clay Travis that actually implies that Trump won the election due to Kaepernick. Yeah, you can't make this stuff up. Oh, and for the Day Traders out there, let's repeat the same stupid claim again...NIKE stock is down (for the rest of us that didn't sell any NIKE stock recently...we're not too concerned about it). There you go. I figured I'd save you the trouble.
