What would you think if you overheard a game official say so & so will win but not cover the spread ?? Hmmm.

More importantly, where have you been hiding? How was Gainesville? LOL, yup LSU sure ran down our throat. I hope you learned a lesson, but probably not.

I haven't been hiding....I've right here. See, unlike you, I use this site for gambling purposes. It seems like the only time you post it has something to do with the Gators. Damn kid, there are plenty of Gator sites for you to browse. Tell you what, post some of YOUR plays sometime. Can you link one post where you originated a thread with selections.

yep. lets rig a game on national tv in primetime with a million people watching. brilliant idea.

ref was out of position, plain and simple. it happens.
the fact that those kinds of things dont happen MORE is whats most surprising.

sorry your wrong...whether or not the game was fixed is irrelevant...what i do know for a 100% fact is the ref shuffled his feet and moved into position to where he could hit the QB. he made no attempt to get out of the way and he took 2 steps to the right toward him before he hit him

also the referee was actually the umpire, which since you probably have never played football before you might not know this, but the umpire is suppose to stay directly behind the d-line to look for holding calls and penalties on the line...sorry but you are 100% wrong here and there really is no argument...the umpire decided he wanted to go after the player and hit him...now why he did that i have no idea (i really don't think the game was fixed my guess would be Garcia pissed the ref off at some point) but he did intentionally hit the guy and it was not because he could not get out of the way...he got in the way on purpose and that was clear as day

lol - more than half my life has been spent on and around the field. you dont have to worry about that my friend. as pointed out earlier, qb cut backside, ref was out of position, and was in no-mans land. it happens ... as much as youd like to avoid it. gl.

You guys obviously didn't watch the whole play. It started up the middle, and became a broken play. The ref was getting out of the way, and then the runner changed his course. It looks bad if all you see is the ending, but in all honesty, who wouldn't brace themselves if they were about to get hit? And if the umpire was "on the take," don't you think he would have thrown a flag when they scored?

Bizzare play. But certainly nothing to cry fix over.

watch it again bro. he clearly saw the QB shuffled his feet twice to the right to get in perfect position to hit the guy...there is no other way to see it honestly. again i really don't think the game was fixed on there was some type of consperacy, i really think Garcia pissed off the ref someway somehow, maybe by constantly using him as a pick but there is no excuse for what the ref did...he should be fired or at the very least suspended IMO

please explain to me why he shuffled his feet twice to the right when his responsibility is the middle of the field?? don't give me no crap about he didnt see him because he clearly was looking right at him before he shuffled his feet twice to the right to deliver the hit. i looked at this play a 1,000 times and i was trying to find anything that could make me think this could have been an accident but there really is no way

theres no doubt it looked bad. thats going to be the case any time something like this happens. but the way the play developed, ref was simply out of position. all the talk about him delivering the blow is nonsense. he braced himself like any normal person would do given the circumstances.

your dodging my question...why did he, while looking directly at Garcia, shuffle his feet twice to the right to get IN position to deliver the hit...watch it again and you will see exactly what i am talking about

again i KNOW this was not because the game was fixed, he or SC must have pissed off the ref where he said enough is enough...probably cause they were using him as a pick alot. its ok to be wrong about something bud...i respect you alot and your a straight shooter...i am wrong alot of the time but this time i know for a 100% fact he did this intentionally

actually the ref is giving way toward the sideline to let garcia turn the corner around the left side of the line. thats where some open space was. but garcia continues to take the play laterally and thats where the ref hangs himself out to dry. no doubt ref was way too shallow on the play. he was out of position and that led to what happened.

this response is laughable. how the hell could you think the ref was "giving way toward the sideline to let garcia turn the corner" when he SHUFFLED HIS FEET AND TOOK 4 STEPS TO THE RIGHT TOWARD THE SIDELINE!!!!!!! Why would the ref not just stop in his tracks right there instead of moving toward Garcia and the sideline??? Umpires are tought to be as stationary as possible because they are in the highest traffic of areas of any official...there job is to be stationary precisely so these things don't happen...your way out of your league and you have no idea what you are talking about. instead of doing what every umpire is tought to do which is to be stationary if the play heads toward your direction...he actually moved toward the play and the ball carrier instead of moving away from the action

How can you give way toward the sideline while moving toward the sideline at the same time????

your really making yourself look dumb here bud

ref wasnt stationary.
thats the same as saying he was out of position.
not going down the road of semantics with you because this was a non-issue minutes after it happened. amazing that some people want to make a big deal over nothing. your opinion is more than fair. im confident with what i saw. move on.

its not the same because he moved TOWARD the QB instead of moving away from him. being out of position is one thing and that happens all the time but moving your self out of position right smack into the ball carrier and play when he clearly saw him the whole time is another story. i just can't believe someone who i thought/assumed was a smart man who knows football can't see how the ref was blantanly trying to hit the QB...oh well i guess i gave you too much credit and thought you actually knew the game of football but apparently you just act like you do...the funny part is if you actually watch or played football you would know that umpires do NOT move at all during a play except for looking right, left front or back...they are suppose to stay in one spot once the play starts. but they will move that spot from time to time so no team can game plan for exactly where the umpire will be every time

You got alot to learn kid

Come on now...when it's right in front of your eyes, you have to at least admit it was fishy. I know lauren goes over the top, but this ref threw a shoulder.

Garcia was running up the middle so the ref moved to the side and garcia saw middle was clogged and turned outside where the ref happened to be standing ... SHIT HAPPENS!!

I just wanted to post in this thread to keep it going. It's important to us winning this week.

That said, Garcia should be embarrassed by getting tackled by a 60 year old ref (ex-linebacker or not) from a little elbow shot. At least the ref could've hit him and wrapped him up. Now, that would've proven that he had 10 dimes on LSU.
