Signaling further escalation of U.S. military force in Iraq, U.S. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced Monday that 217 additional troops would be deployed to Iraq and that the U.S. will also be supplying Apache helicopters and millions in aid to Kurdish Peshmerga forces in an effort to fight ISIS.
During the announcement, no mention was made of President Obama's repeated vows that the U.S. would never have "boots on the ground" in a combat operation in Iraq again.

Tough call. The Kurds have always been loyal to us. At the start of OIF we accidentally killed one of the Kurds most beloved leaders and his fighters in an airstrike we thought was targeted at the Iraqi army. We've also left them vulnerable to the Turks. We need to support the Kurds and anyone who opposes jihadi groups. I hope the Kurds get their own country.
We have pretty much shit on the Kurds (intentional?) and not just because of the air strike. We refused to arm the Kurds (intentional?) yet we give the Iraq army weapons, Humvees, etc, just so they could abandon them at the first sign of conflict. We might as well have just given them to ISIS in the first place.
But that’s not the point. The point is the stuttering clusterfuck couldn’t fine his ass with a map and both hands.
Sometimes I think he talks just to hear himself, kind of a verification to him that he’s still alive.

There are not enough delegates left in remaining contests for either John Kasich or Ted Cruz to reach the 1,237 delegates necessary to win on the first ballot, The Associated Press reports.
So I say to Kasich and Cruz stop acting like 5 year old brats and admit you lost and graciously get out of the race.
I’d say the same thing to Bernie Sanders except he still has a ace in the hole, that being that the Granny could be under indictment come election time.

Obama also touted his Iran nuclear deal as “something I’m very proud of” asserting that he successfully stopped their nuclear weapons program without going to war.

According to a WLOS report, a North Carolina community is upset after being told to stop singing the National Anthem while on a visit to New York City.
Waynesville Middle School’s chorus was singing the anthem outside of the 9/11 Memorial while on a trip to New York when security asked them to stop midway through their performance.
WLOS reports the 9/11 Memorial requires groups to obtain a permit if they want to perform. Although the students did not have a permit, they were given verbal permission from a security guard.
Waynesville Middle School principal Trevor Putnam said, “Basically they performed approximately half of the National Anthem, and they were told by security to cease and desist. And they, of course, complied immediately.”
Per Putnam, security “explained to them that they treat that area as a burial site.” (Lame fucking excuse.)

According to the Washington Free Beacon, the Department of Health and Human Services has provided a $270,000 grant to Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW), the largest Islamic charity in the world. The grant was awarded as part of a larger project to provide health services in Nairobi, Kenya, through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The problem is that the Birmingham, England-based IRW and Islamic Relief USA (IR-USA), the largest Muslim charity in the United States and an affiliate of IRW, are banned in many countries over its links to Hamas.
The United Arab Emirates and Israel, for example, both banned the charity in 2014 after investigations revealed its ties to Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other terror-financing entities. Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs determined as far back as 2006 that IRW “provides support and assistance to Hamas’s infrastructure" as well as serving as "a hub for donations from charities accused of links to al Qaeda and other terror group."
