Ugh. Of all the ways to write/film/tell Glenn's story --- that was waaaaay too convenient & sloppy.
Also, given a flood of zombies --- why can't the Alexandrians retreat to their houses? Lock the doors? The zombies in WD have been shown as extremely slow & stupid.
You'd think everybody in Alexandria would have a spear/harpoon device (even a sharp stick would do the trick) --- stay inside, open an above-ground window, and poke all the zombies. Similar to the prison, when Rick's group would walk the fence and clear the zombies. Might take a few days, but eventually you'd get 98% of the zombies. Might need to barricade a few doors --- but other than that, these zombies haven't been smart enough to smash/climb/enter doors & windows.
But I know --- we're going to have chaos, and the children/weaklings are going to be in danger, and Rick's group will need to fight in the streets.
