Fade Adams Friday Game Analysis

[h=4]Friday's Selection ...[/h] For Friday night in the NBA, Top-Rated 1000♦ is the Boston Celtics as the small home favorite over the visiting Houston Rockets. As of 9:00 am eastern time, the Celtics are the -2 1/2 point favorite both in Las Vegas and at the offshore books.

Back on December 14th, Boston went into Houston as the +2 1/2 point underdog and got their hats handed to them, as the Rockets won a 101-89 affair that was filled with emotion, as Houston coach Kevin McHale's daughter had recently passed away. I am sure McHale would like to complete the season series sweep in his old hometown from his playing days, but right now Boston is playing their best round-ball of the long season.

The C's enter with 4 straight wins, and 3 covers in those 4 wins. The winning streak has pushed Boston over the .500 mark now for the season at 18-17. The recent success has a lot to do with the Boston bench starting to get "deep", as Jeff Green, Jared Sullinger, and Jason Terry all came up big the other night when Boston dumped Phoenix to start a 5 game homestand.

Houston saw their 5 game win and cover streak come to an end in New Orleans the other night, as the Rockets road mark dropped to 7-9 straight up for the year. Since the oddsmakers are not asking Boston to cover an inflated number, I expect the Celts to get their revenge on the Rockets tonight in Beantown.

Back Boston.

Trace Adams Saturday Game Analysis

[h=4]Saturday's Selection ...[/h] For Saturday in the playoffs, 1500♦ Raise the Bar Living Lock on the home favorite San Francisco 49ers as they take on the visiting Green Bay Packers. As of 10:05 pm eastern time on Friday night when I release this selection, the 49ers are -2 1/2 to -3 points. If your line is -3 or if it happens to go to -3 1/2 points, I want you to buy the half point down on San Francisco.

Home field advantage means something tonight!

Green Bay is certainly a dangerous team, as the Packers are finally getting healthy, but I cannot put too much stock in the fact they beat Minnesota last week 24-10, as the Vikings were clearly compromised having to use Joe Webb at QB. Green Bay feels they got some experience in dealing with a running quarterback in that game, but let's be real, Colin Kaepernick can also pass the ball, and is far more of a threat than Webb ever is, was or will be!

San Francisco went 6-1-1 straight up on their home gridiron this season, and are 14-3-1 straight up at the Stick under Jim Harbaugh. I believe the Packers are vulnerable against the run, and the 49ers can run it via Frank Gore, LaMichael James and of course Kaepernick. I expect a game plan that consists of running the ball first coming from the host.

Must respect the fact Aaron Rodgers has pretty much all of his receivers back in the fold, but also feel the Niners will definitely keep pace in this game when the chips are down.

Green Bay enters this game with 5 losses for the year, 4 of those 5 losses have come on the road! The fact Rodgers and most of the Pack wear Super Bowl rings must be taken into consideration, but in the end, the 49ers strong home field advantage makes the difference.

I am siding with San Francisco to advance to the NFC Championship Game next Sunday.

Trace Adams Sunday Game Analysis

[h=4]Sunday's Selection ...[/h] For Sunday in the NFL, 2000♦ Double Your Wager winner is the Atlanta Falcons as the home favorite against the visiting Seattle Seahawks. At the time I release this selection, the Falcons are -2 1/2 point favorites. If your price should move to -3 or -3 1/2, I want you to buy the half point down on the Falcons.

Never have I heard of a #1 seeded team getting so maligned and so disrespected as the Atlanta Falcons. This team gets no respect, and the fact they are 0-3 in the postseason with Matt Ryan at quarterback, and Mike Smith as head coach only serves to pile on the Atlanta bashers. I happen to think this year's Atlanta team is different than the previous 3 one-and-done Falcon editions.

The matchup of interest is the Atlanta receivers against the vaunted Seattle secondary. As well as the Seahawks have done in shutting down the opposition, I think they will have their work cut out for them playing in Atlanta's friendly dome where the host is 35-5 straight up with Matt Ryan under center.

No doubt the Seahawks are cresting with 6 straight wins (5-1 against the spread), but let's keep this in mind...Seattle lost their top pass-rusher Chris Clemons to a knee injury in last week's game at Washington. His loss is significant to say the least.

Also consider that Seattle allowed RGIII and his mates to score on their opening pair of possessions last week - and both were long, long drives - as the Seahawks trailed for the longest time in that game against a QB who was playing on one leg for most of the game!

So Seattle wins that game, then travels back to the Evergreen State to spend some time at home with family. Now they fly back to the eastern time zone one more time, and have to play the early game this Sunday to boot. No one is mentioning the toll it takes for a west coast team to play on the east coast - and for the second straight week no less! All of this while the Falcons had the week off to install their game plan and heal some injured bodies.

Seattle is the "chic" "it" team right now, but I have no doubts Atlanta is going to eliminate them from playoff action today in the Georgia Dome.

Falcons to advance to the NFC title game next Sunday.

Fade Adams Monday Game Analysis

[h=4]Monday's Selection ...[/h] For Monday night in the NBA, Top-Rated 1000♦ Winner #3 of 4 is the visiting Atlanta Hawks plus the points against the Chicago Bulls. As of 8:00 am eastern time when I release this selection, the Hawks are +4 point dogs in the Windy City.

Things have been a little rocky of late for the Hawks, losers of 6 of their last 8 straight up, as Larry Drew's team has had issues staying in games on the road during their current slide. Atlanta has dropped 5 of 6 on the road during their last 8 games played, but I think tonight they step up and give the Bulls a battle in Chicago.

Chicago has not exactly been "tearing things up" as they await Derek Rose's return. The Bulls are just 10-10 straight up on their home hardwood, and their home spread mark of 4-16 is hardly a vote of confidence coming into this one, especially with home losses by 16 to Phoenix, and 8 to Milwaukee their last pair of home dates.

Atlanta was a 92-75 winner over Chicago in the first meeting of the season between the teams back in the middle of December, and I see no reason why the Hawks won't be there again tonight plus the points.

Grab the Hawks tonight plus the points.

Fade Adams Tuesday Game Analysis

[h=4]Tuesday's Selection ...[/h] For Tuesday night, Top-Rated 1000♦ Dog Shocker is the Red Storm of St. John's as the home underdog against the visiting Notre Dame Fighting Irish. At the time I release this selection, the Red Storm are +6 point underdogs both in Vegas and offshore.

Notre Dame coming to the Big Apple off a stunning home loss to Connecticut over the weekend, just their 2nd of the season, and while they should be able to bounce-back off that loss and get some revenge against slumping St. John's, I would be very surprised if this game ended up being a cakewalk for the Irish, as the Johnnies are one desperate unit coming into this home conference game.

St. John's is off to a 1-3 start in Big East play, but that one win did come at Cincinnati in a game they were double-digit underdogs, so don't expect Steve Lavin's team to let this one get away from them.

Series history shows that Notre Dame has matchup issues with John's, as St. John's has won outright in the last pair of meetings, 3 of the last 4, and 5 of the last 8 overall. As you can see, the quickness the Red Storm posses gives the Fighting Irish issues.

Take the points as the Johnnies take this one down to the wire on their home floor.

Trace Adams, self proclaimed shitty handicapper.

He turned the Hawks game off last night to watch an episode of Happy Days where Fonzi played the bongos. :):)

Trace Adams Wednesday Game Analysis

[h=4]Wednesday's Selection ...[/h] For Wednesday night, Raise the Bar 1500♦ Home Chalk Lock is the La Salle Explorers against the visiting Dayton Flyers. At the time I release my selection, the Explorers are -5 point home favorites over the Flyers.

La Salle has become a reliable home chalk favorite, as they come into tonight's Atlantic 10 game off a 71-59 conference win and cover over Richmond their last time out. In that game, La Salle broke open a close game at the half (33-30 lead) with lights-out shooting in the second half to cruise to the double-digit win. I see a similar game playing out tonight, as Dayton will be eager to get the A-10 bagel (0-2 in conference play) off their backs, but the Flyers will have their hands full defending the La Salle 3-guard offense.

Ramon Galloway, Tyreek Duren and Virginia Tech transfer Tyrone Garland are ALL averaging double-digits this season, and shooting at their familiar rims at Tom Gola Arena has produced a 6-1 straight up record at home this season. The Explorers are also on a 17-6-3 spread roll their last 26 lined home games.

Series numbers show La Salle in quadruple revenge, as Dayton has held the Explorers at bay by 4, 4, 14, and 2 points since La Salle's last series win in 2008.

Dayton will have to wait for their first conference win, La Salle exacts some revenge tonight with the comfortable home win and cover.
