For best pitcher both Brad Penny of the Tigers and Jake Westbrook of the Cardinals were 6-3 career vs their opponents. The guy who started posting the system plays at another forum has gone with Penny because I guess the tiebreaker is to go with who is the hotter pitcher at the moment. I guess you just have to make a decision and go with your gut on what you think the better play is.
As for the worst pitcher scenario, that was even harder because today we had 4 pitchers that were 0-2. The White Sox with Jackson, the Indians with Masterson, the Dodgers with Kuroda and Morton of the Pirates. Based on everything I made a judgement call that Kuroda was the play. Kuroda has the worst record THIS YEAR out of all of them, the Dodgers have been playing bad and the Angels have won 7 of 9 against them.
Like somebody said earlier, once interleague is over we should get some better plays, i.e. easier to decipher. I'm going to play both of these but if you are going to follow one I'd go with the Best Pitcher play because at least that has a good track record and the Worst Pitcher play is just something we are testing out to see if it works or not.
