How about this for a super simple stupid system based off the best ptcher vs opponent system... the best pitcher of the day?
Same rules as the other system except do it with pitchers records for the current season. I wasn't going to post it unless it had good results but what the hell, might as well track it in here.
Yesterday you had Jair Jurrjens (+7) of the Braves at -170 and Braves won 4-0 covering the ML and the RL.
Today you had Roy Halladay (+7) of the Phillies at -160 and the Phillies won 5-3 covering the ML and the RL. Dillon Gee of the Mets also had a +7 but Halladay was the play because he had 10 wins compared to Gee's 8.
So for 2 days the system is 2-0 on the ML and 2-0 on the RL. Two days doesn't mean squat but i'll track it and see how it does, why not. A quick look at tomorrow's starters and it looks like the play will be on the D'Backs Ian Kennedy with a +6. I'll post the actual play later tonight.
This system will probably be high juice plays but you are going to get a top pitcher each day. I'll track it based on the ML and RL and see how it goes.
