Here's a very simple system that I've been following at another site. Since the system has been posted the record is 30-11 on the Money Line. Sometimes you scratch your head with the play but the numbers don't lie.
All you do is play the pitcher with the best career numbers against their opponent for that day.
As an example, yesterday Brad Penny of the Tigers was 10-3 for his career against the DBacks. You also had Tim Hudson of the Braves who was 5-0 career versus the Padres. Now looking at that you'd probably think the better play would've been Hudson and the Braves but the system tells you to play Penny and the Tigers because his difference is a +7 and Hudson is a +5. Tigers won, Braves lost.
Sometimes the plays will be high juice, like today, but sometimes you will get a few dog plays. But like I said, you really can't argue with the numbers. If the play is a favorite I always bet the Money Line and put about a third of what I bet on the Run Line -1.5, that way if it just wins by 1 run I still come out ahead.
Today's play is on the Tigers backing Max Scherzer who is 2-0 with a 1.35 ERA versus the Blue Jays. Today is not an Interleague match-up but just an AL match-up.
Since it's Interleague a lot of these pitchers don't really have numbers against the teams they are playing but the system still has been winning.
