This isn't the guy you want to be facing when you are struggling offensively.

The Seattle Mariners roll into Pittsburgh tonight a team that has forgotten how to hit.

In their last 3 games they lost to the lowly Detroit Tigers by scores of 15-1, 3-2 and 2-1.

Last night they had one hit and went 0-8 with runners in scoring position.

Folks, you can't hit Tiger pitching and you want me to believe you are going to find it against this your rookie Paul Skenes.

Skenes is making his 16th start of the year and only once, in his 15 starts so far, has he given up more than 3 earned runs.

Lack of offense has cost him and he is still 6-2 with an ERA of 2.25

As for the Mariners, Logan Gilbert has struggled as of late.

Yes, he comes off a nice win at New York last time out but over his last 7 starts he is 2-4 with a no decision losing his last 2 on the road.

He last road start was a disaster.

At Boston on July 29th he went 2 2/3 innings giving up 7 earned runs on 7 hits.

Trust me folks, 4 runs wins this game and I see the Pirates getting to that number tonight.

Pittsburgh is the play.
