I am going to ride the hottest team in the NFL big time.
After losing at Green Bay 20-3 to fall to 3-6 on the year, many thought the Rams were done, me included.
Then a funny thing happened. They found something.
They closed the season winning 7 of their last 8 games with the only loss a week 14 OT thriller against the Ravens 37-31 in a game they should have won.
To put it bluntly, this is the most dangerous team in the NFC.
As for the Lions, they finally got over the hump in winning the division and how great it is for them to host a playoff game today.
They finished the season going 4-1 with all 4 wins coming against losing teams.
At times, they look like the best team in the NFL as evidenced by road wins over the Chiefs, Saints, Tampa, Chargers and Vikings.
Or the double digit home blowouts of the Panthers, Atlanta, Vegas and Broncos.
However, there are head scratching losses: Packers on Thanksgiving 29-22, at Chicago 28-13 and the absolute blowout at Baltimore 38-6.
Everyone talks about what a great offense they have but their problem is on the defensive side of the ball. At times, they are lost in their secondary.
And against this Rams team, whose head coach Sean McVay and QB Mathew Stafford are more in sync than any pair coach/QB in the NFL.
The Rams have just a different look to them and I am not about to go against this red hot underdog today.
