The Wichita State Shockers are a perfect 6-0 at home this year.
Their 95-65 home win over Friends University withstanding, their other 5 home wins have all come against winning teams.
Let's start with the 76-59 over 9-6 Lipscomb, or the 71-61 win over 10-3 Western Kentucky, or the 80-67 win over 9-7 North Florida.
Or how about the 80-68 win over 8-5 Richmond or finally the 69-68 win over 10-4 Southern Illinois.
Their new head coach Paul Mills, who came over from Oral Roberts University, where he took them to NCAA tourney the last 3 seasons, knows how important it is to win at home.
He has placed a premium on it and so far so good.
His team comes off having just played 2 monsters in Kansas State (69-60 loss) and Kansas (86-67 loss), so facing North Texas a bit of a downgrade here.
As for the Mean Green, they to are replacing their coach as last years coach Grant McCasland jumped to Texas Tech.
In steps last years top assistant Ross Hodge but he has some work to do as last years two top scorers hit the portal in Tyler Perry and Kai Huntsberry.
They roll in here 7-4 but have played only 1 true road game all year, at Boise State, and they lost that one 69-64.
They have played 4 neutral site games and have gone 1-3 SU losing to St.Johns, Fordham and Mississippi State.
You do the math: away from home they are 1-4 SU this year.
Until North Texas shows me some consistency away from home, I have no problem backing the undefeated home team to go to 7-0 in front of the home folks this year.

Well my bid for a 5th straight 100 dime winner never had a shot as Wichita State completely no showed at home against North Texas last night.
They played no defense, missed 12 free throws, shot 30% from the floor and lost for the first time in front of the home crowd this year.
After 4 rock solid 100 dime winners and a 200 dime winner last Saturday, frustrated to get on the wrong side of that one last night.
