I LOVE THIS GAME ONE TONIGHT.
Someone once told me never to let last night's loss affect your next day's decision.
Did my 80 dimer on the Grizzlies last night lose by 100? Yup, and whether it lost by 1 or 40, it still counts as one loss.
I went 1-3 ATS in that series. The Grizzlies laid down like a 2 dollar hooker last night in one of the most embarrassing playoff performances you will ever see.
Your playing for your season, for your life and you do that???? Desmond Bane, Mr. "We'll be back home for game 7" goes 5-16 for 15 points. Ja Morant 3-16???
However, I will not let that loss last night stop me from coming with this 150-dimer on Game One between Phoenix and Denver because the fact of the matter is:
I LOVE THIS GAME 1.
Over the last 30 years when I come with a play rated 100 dime or higher, those elite plays cash a winning ticket more times than they lose.

The one thing that stood out to me in Lang's write-up today other than the usual lies, cliches, overworked/ expressions,
standard mantras, which he uses every time he loses(which is most of the time), is the fact that once again he blames it on the team and
players rather than himself!!
From my multitude of experiences in wagering and following sports services basically since they started back in the seventies,
I have learned that a decent capper(and there are not many to whom this term applies over time) is not able to use his
handicapping skills and judgment based on his criterion of previous stats, trends and angles, etc. to win but also to have a strong
feel for the intangibles which are needed to win.
Thus as I see it and using last night's Memphis/Lakers game as an example, it is quite obvious that there were some handicappers
unlike Lang who bet the Lakers and won who had a general "feel" for their game based on some of these intangibles as well as
of course their own handicapping criterion which resulted in the W for them and the L for Lang.
One of the big reasons that Lang is a perenially LOSER is that he does not, never has and never will have a feel for his intangibles,
motivation, etc. for the simple reason that his overall arrogance and self-image of infallibility block out and
do not even allow him to consider intangibles such as what contributed to his L last night.
To be fair, imo some of what constitutes intangibles is inborn and cannot be learned.
However that said, being pigheaded and arrogant and blaming everyone but yourself for a loss which defines Lang, is
a characteristic not only of a LOSER in handicapping but a LOSER in the much more important game of life itself!!
