Whoever wins, it's pretty clear the polls were wrong again.

What's your theory on why?

Because Republicans sat in their homes, didn't announce who they were voting for, got pissed off at looting, violence and anger, angry at lockdowns and showed up in droves to vote.

If that's the case, you'd think the pollsters would have learned their lesson in 2016

It's amazing how this is an instant reply of 2016. Polls are wrong, Trump wins the rust belt and soon ABC news anchors will be crying.

careful now Biden wins Arizona and picks up Michigan and Wisconsin and we'll still be trying to name a winner in December.

I will wait to see what happens in the rust belt before saying the pollsters were flat wrong. I never personally predicted Florida or Ohio. But yeah, if Michigan or Wisconsin and Pennsylvania turn out to be wrong? Pretty big reckoning for that industry.

"It's Deja Vu all over again" Same story different year. All of above comments run true. Many Pollsters are college students calling from their on campus jobline centers taking direction from whomever is this years innovative lefty of the year professor. Lets ask the same questions a different way to the same people who actually are willing to answer their phones and spend 5 minutes espousing their political beliefs. I don't know too many people who would waste time doing that.

It looks to me like the election is a toss-up at this point. No poll has reflected anything close to that for many months? I dont believe things have shifted at the last minute, I think the polls havent reflected reality.

Great comment I just heard, "The pollsters are modelling a country that does not exist." Whole bunch of pollsters about to need new jobs.
