[h=1]ISIS leader calls on ‘every Muslim’ to go to the territory his group has seized to build an ‘Islamic state’[/h]
  • Abu Bakr al-Baghdad released 19-minute audiotape online earlier today
  • Made special call to those with practical skills such as doctors, judges and engineers to 'answer the dire need of the Muslims for them'
  • Comes as large weapon, believed to be a Scud, photographed in militants' possession
  • Seen being transported by masked men in city of Raqqa in Syria yesterday
  • Raqqa is proclaimed capital of ISIS, which now calls itself the Islamic State
  • Experts dismiss the idea, suggesting it is highly unlikely to be operable

from an article in Breitbart by Dr. Phillis Chessler:

Please listen to the language of NOW’s resolution: “Whereas, one of NOW’s official priorities is to eliminate violence against women…we urge NOW members to educate law enforcement, educators, medical professionals, and community leaders to the danger of Sharia law.”

This resolution was defeated; actually, like the surrogacy resolution, it was tabled for further discussion.

Worst thing we did was remove Saddam from power in Iraq - brutal force is the only way to rule this entire region outside of Israel - it's literally like the middles ages - whoever can conquer takes over every week

[h=1]Five killed and a dozen wounded in bomb and gun attacks by Islamist militants in Somalia[/h]
  • Bloody outburst of violence timed to coincide with month of Ramadan
  • The terrorists killed five and wounded 12 with car bombs, mortars and guns
  • Militants responsible are an Al Qaeda-linked group operating from Somalia

Five soldiers and police have been killed in the Somali capital and a dozen others were wounded by mortar and gun attacks by Islamist militants.
The Al Qaeda-linked militants responsible for the carnage have threatened to step up attacks during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
Al Shabaab fighters said they detonated a car bomb that killed two soldiers guarding the Somali parliament, a few hundred metres from the presidential compound.
'This is our second attack against the parliament building and we shall continue it,' said Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab, al Shabaab's spokesman for military operations.

Police said soldiers guarding the parliament building had prevented it reaching its target.
'The suicide car bomb was targeting the parliament entrance but it was fired on from all sides as it approached the main gate,' said Nur Ahmed, a colonel in the police service.

Police said two soldiers were killed and four wounded.
The al Qaeda-affiliated al Shabaab militants killed a lawmaker and his bodyguard in an attack on Thursday, accusing them of collaborating with Christians - a reference to the backing Mogadishu gets from Western powers and the African Union.
A Reuters reporter saw bloodied, broken chairs that were used by the troops guarding parliament before the attack.

A senior Somali police officer said the car bomb was stopped at a checkpoint before reaching parliament

'A car bomb occurred near the parliament house but we are all safe,' Dahir Amin Jesow, a legislator, said, referring to lawmakers inside the building.
The militants struck again a few hours later, shooting dead three traffic officers in the Waberi district of Mogadishu, abu Musab said.
The third attack of the day, which al Shabaab did not take responsibility for immediately, was a mortar launched into the Shibis district.
'We heard an explosion but we found it was a mortar shell that landed. We have counted seven injured people,' local shopkeeper Abdullahi Ahmed said.

Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Husain Abdullah with the participants during a training session at Aspire Zone.
By Mikhil Bhat/Doha
The year is 2012. Husain Abdullah has already spent four years playing as safety in NFL but finishes the previous season on the injured reserve list because of a concussion suffered while playing for Minnesota Vikings. And then Abdullah took a decision that very few professional sportspersons would ever consider.
He took a break.
And there was a main reason why he took that decision. Abdullah and his family always wanted to perform Haj and so he decided to fulfil that. In October 2012, Abdullah, along with his parents, wife and two older brothers, went for the holy pilgrimage.
Before going to Haj, the brothers also did a 30-day tour across United States during Ramadan. During this trip, they visited almost 30 cities, praying in different mosques across the country, meeting people and also doing community service.
But while Abdullah was doing all of this, he knew that this move had put his playing career at a big risk. But strangely the then 26-year-old didn’t feel too disturbed.
“It was something that I became content with. It was like, yeah, there was a chance that I would never be able to play professional football again, but it was something that I needed to be content with and I was. If I could get back in, great, if I wasn’t able to, I wasn’t,” Abdullah said yesterday.
But Abdullah didn’t have to wait for too long. Next year he was back with Kansas City Chiefs and his playing career was back on line. “Alhamdulillah, I was able to get back in,” he said with a smile.
Abdullah cherishes the memories of that memorable 30-day trip where he got to bond with his brothers.
“I went with my two older brothers [on that trip]. It was the first time we were together for an extended period of time since 1998, because that was when my brother had stepped out of the house. It was a blessing just to be with them, and just to see how much all of us have grown,” added Abdullah, whose elder brother Hamza also played safety with Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos before retiring in December last year.
Two years later, yesterday, Abdullah was at Aspire Zone training adults and kids in American Football.
“It’s an honor to be part of the Ramadan Sports Festival and I am very impressed by what I have seen here so far,” said Abdullah, taking a break from the training sessions he seems to be enjoying a lot.
“They caught on very well. Some of the guys were there the night before and so we were able to get into more technical stuff. We had a lot of fun.”
Besides being an effective defensive back, Abdullah is known to fast during Ramadan even while playing.
“I had one teammate who was eating his food, and someone was talking to me about fasting and this guy goes, ‘Wait a minute, you can’t eat?’ I replied ‘No, I can’t’. And he just threw his knife and fork down and walked out of the cafeteria,” the 28-year-old, who played college football at Washington State University, said.
“Some guys are tired having spent a lot of energy, and then they see a guy who is fasting and still doing the same thing that they have been doing, so they do say ‘What am I complaining about?’ You get all kinds of mixed reactions.
“I have got people come up to me talk about how they admire and respect me for the fact that I put faith before anything. I met a lady, a 70-year-old lady who looked like she had never heard of Islam before. She was like ‘you are the guy who can’t eat, huh? I admire you’. It reaches a lot of people. It is a blessing for people to be educated about Islam through me.”
American sport has long been associated with glamour. Is it difficult to blank all of those distractions out?
“It is not real life. It is not. I know a lot of players, former players, while they are playing, people lift them high and mighty, and the second they are not playing, they don’t even give them a second look anymore. So for me, it is a short-lived career and I know it is something fake. I just live my daily life normal,” Abdullah said.
Abdullah will head back to Kansas City after his Doha trip for the training camp with Chiefs. In the preseason, the team is scheduled to meet Cincinnati Bengals, Carolina Panthers, Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers.
“We play against Minnesota in week 3, that’s my old team and I need to make sure I am right up there for that one,” he said.
This year the Ramadan Sports Festival also includes a Flag Football tournament, which is a variation of American Football, on today and tomorrow. Aspire Zone Foundation CEO Khalid Abdullah al-Sulaiteen said: “As AZF is the premium sports destination in the region, we always try to be a platform for different sports and introduce new ones to our community. American Football is one of those games we are providing support to encourage and spread. So far, it received good turnout and we hope it continues to do.”

[h=1]gyptian Cleric: Muslim Brotherhood Authorizes 'Anal Jihad' for Lonely Terrorists[/h] 2694

[h=2]An Egyptian cleric formerly known as the "preacher of the revolution" during the revolt against President Hosni Mubarak warned Egyptian television viewers this week that Muslim Brotherhood sheiks have issued a fatwa permitting "anal jihad" for terrorists far from their wives, which is exactly what it sounds like.[/h] In televised remarks on Egypt's Al-Tahrir TV on June 26 and translated into English by the Middle East Media Research Institute, cleric Mazhar Shahin told his viewers that members of the Muslim Brotherhood were engaging in homosexual anal sex acts as a way to "wage jihad in the name of Allah." It was a "new kind of jihad," he explained, where "they practice homosexuality with one another, thinking, wrongly, that this constitutes jihad for the sake of Allah." The acts are sanctioned if the jihadists are far from their wives. He does not explain how engaging in homosexual sex in private furthers the cause of establishing an Islamic caliphate – the goal of most mujahidin – but compares it with "sexual jihad," an act he describes as when "somebody takes a woman and has sex with her because he is waging jihad."
The anal jihad "catastrophe," he continued, was proof that "the (Muslim Brotherhood) is a bunch of hopeless and desperate peddlers who have reached a state of foolishness, stupidity, filth, and so on, to the highest imaginable degree." He emphasizes multiple times that this is not just deviant behavior performed by individuals straying from jihadist ideals, but rather, behavior sanctioned by Muslim Brotherhood sheiks. "Their sheiks permit them to do these things. This is despicable, foolish, and asinine," he concludes.
Despite being a vocal opponent of Mubarak, Shahin has also been extremely critical of the Muslim Brotherhood. In 2013, while Muslim Brotherhood President Mohamed Morsi was still in power, Shahin was suspended as a cleric at his mosque after a sermon in which, according to the Associated Press, "he warned against Brotherhood control over state institutions including the police, military and the Islamic institute of Al-Azhar." He was accused of speaking “like a TV station or opposition paper” and fomenting discord among Muslims.
The suspension did not stop him from preaching against the Muslim Brotherhood. In February, Shahin encouraged men to divorce their wives if they were supportive of the Muslim Brotherhood, telling husbands that having such a wife is "having a sleeper cell in your house." "These are priorities," he explained, "...Should I sacrifice my wife or Egypt? My wife, in the end, is just a person... But when I say sacrifice, I don't mean I kill her. I mean that I divorce her, and I give her all of her rights, and I protect my country and my patriotism."
Shahin's speech against "anal jihad" is another sign of the deep rifts between Islamist jihadists and Muslims that reject them, and even among different sectors of the jihadist community itself. In another example of homosexuality surfacing as an alleged element of jihad, a parody of the jihadist group The Islamic State (formerly the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham) on Palestinian television implied that its members were gay, calling them "ISISsy"s.

[h=1]EXCLUSIVE: Former Israeli soldier ambushed by two men in 'anti-semitic' on quiet Melbourne street, leaving him with a black eye and torn clothes[/h]
  • The incident happened on Parnell St in Elsternwick in Melbourne's south
  • Zachary Gomo, 28, was walking down the street on Thursday about 10pm
  • Two men ambushed and attacked him while yelling 'God is Great' in Arabic
  • Mr Gomo was able to fight them off and reported the incident to police
  • Caulfield police have confirmed they are investigation the assault

A former Israeli soldier now living in Australia has told of the shocking moment he was attacked on the street and was left with a slash through his T-shirt, a swollen face and covered in scratches.

Zachary Gomo, 28, was walking along Parnell Street, off Kooyong Road, in Elsternwick - in Melbourne's south - when he was ambushed by two men while he was wearing an Israeli Defence Forces shirt from his two-year stint in the service in what he is calling an 'anti-Semitic' attack.

At the time, the dual citizen was walking to his girlfriend's place when he noticed two men following him.

'The side street was very dark and apparently empty of people,' Mr Gomo said.

'When I got about halfway down the street, I suddenly noticed that there were two people right behind me.

'I got a shock as I had not noticed them until then which I found odd.

'At that moment they both jumped on me and started punching and shouting in Arabic "Jew Dog", "Allah HuAkbar" [God is great] and something I didn’t understand about Gaza.

'It completely came out of nowhere. I wasn’t prepared.'

Luckily, Mr Gomo was able to fight off his attackers, return to his girlfriend's house and report the incident to Caulfield police station.

Zachary Gomo was attacked on Thursday about 10pm on a Melbourne street by two Arabic-speaking men

'Initially I just attempted to shield myself from their blows, and then one of them grabbed me from my left side as if he was trying to drag me somewhere,' he said.
'At that point, I realised it was very serious and started fighting back.

'I threw punches at both of them and managed to grab one of them by the throat which I proceeded to squeeze as hard as I could.

Mr Gomo did not notice a weapon at the time, but police say this slash was most likely caused by a screwdriver

'I pointed at the other man with my free hand and yelled Arabic curses at them as aggressively as possible.

'This startled them quite a bit and when I pushed the one whose neck I was holding away, they fled towards Kooyong Road.'
When he got to his girlfriend's house, she noticed Mr Gomo was covered in scratches, his T-shirt sliced open around the belly and his face was swollen.

'I did not notice a weapon at the time but the police later suggested that they might have had a screwdriver or something similar,' he said.

Mr Gomo thinks an Israeli Defence Force T-shirt (left) he was wearing sparked the attack which left him with scratches (right)

Mr Gomo described his attackers as between the ages of 18 to 20, slim and of Middle Eastern appearance.
He believes the T-shirt he was wearing at the time of the attack sparked the ambush.
'It has a scorpion on it and in English it says "stinger", which is the airforce special forces I was part of, and in Hebrew it says the word March as in the month and ’08 - the year that my training took place,' Mr Gomo said.
'There are some comments on the Internet saying that I provoked the attack by wearing the shirt, but I don’t think anyone deserves to be attacked like that they no matter what their wearing.

'There’s no way anyone would have identified the shirt unless they knew Hebrew.

'Clearly it was an anti-Semitic attack.
'I just think everybody has the right to be safe on the street and if you have a political protest or something do it civilly and within the law.'
Caulfield police station Sergeant Peter Burton confirmed the incident had happened.
'There is an active investigation going on at the moment,' he said.

[h=1]ISIS raise $1 million a day selling crude oil from captured Iraqi oilfields as government forces are accused of killing 255 Sunni prisoners[/h]
  • Jihadists are smuggling resources from conquered oilfields south of Mosul
  • Offering it up for $25 (£15) a barrel to businessmen in Turkey and Iran
  • Claims from Human Rights Watch (HRW) who say soldiers shot teenagers
  • HRW compiled evidence from six alleged massacres and demanded inquiry
  • Thought to be reprisals after ISIS's lightning advance through Iraq in June
  • ISIS are well-documented for carrying out their own mass executions

ISIS are making nearly $1million a day selling off crude oil from conquered refineries to Kurdish businessmen.
The jihadists, who now call themselves the Islamic State's caliphate, are smuggling the resources from Iraqi oilfields into Turkey and Iran where they offer it up for $25 (£15) a barrel, making a huge profit.
The lucrative trade was revealed as the Iraqi government were accused of killing 255 Sunni prisoners as revenge for the ISIS advance, which has seen them take large swathes of the country.
Industry experts believe the fighters are taking the oil from plains south of Mosul and transporting it in tankers, owned by the extremists, so it can be turned into diesel and petrol.

'Outrageous violation': The rights watchdog accused the Iraqi forces of committing war crimes

According to The Daily Telegraph, the looting is based in the town of Tuz Khurmatu on the fringes of the Kurdish region.
Iraqi oil industry analyst, Shwan zulal said the militants were using their control of a 150-mile swathe of territory to take crude oil from some of Iraq’s prime oil assets.
He told the paper: 'In some ways it’s as easy for Isis as digging a hole and letting the oil run before siphoning it off into tankers for transportation and Baiji is a huge complex that it may not fully control but it can take supplies.'

The prisoners who were killed came from a rival Muslim denomination to the Shi'ite Iraqi army, were fleeing the violence when they were recaptured and killed, according to human rights campaigners.
Human Rights Watch (HRW) brought to light reports of Iraqi armed guards breaking prisoners' arms and legs and shooting them in the head, as well as tossing grenades into cells with inmates inside.
It was claimed that eight of the victims were boys who were less than 18 years old.
The attacks were thought to be revenge by the Iraqi forces after ISIS took huge swathes of the country in the face of startlingly little resistance.
It was widely reported that ISIS added to the chaos around its lightning advance last month by letting inmates loose from Iraqi jails, in the hope they would join their insurgency.
The watchdog listed five incidents where Iraqi are believed to have carried out the killings, drawing on testimonies from government workers, hospital staff and lawyers.
The accounts include reports of handcuffed, blindfolded and burned bodies being dumped into a ravine near Mosul, Iraq's second city, which was overrun by ISIS on June 9.

Another account speaks of guards bursting into prison cells and opening fire with AK-47s, killing more than 50 people, including teenage boys.
In a further incident, the watchdog cites testimonies that prisoners whom Iraqi officials said died in crossfire were in fact killed 'execution-style' by vengeful commanders after an assault.
A spokesman for HRW said: 'Gunning down prisoners is an outrageous violation of international law.'
'While the world rightly denounces the atrocious acts of ISIS, it should not turn a blind eye to sectarian killing sprees by government and pro-government forces.'
The organisation has demanded an international inquiry be held into the alleged killings.
ISIS themselves, whose forces now call themselves The Islamic State, have been subject to a tide of condemnation after footage of their own mass executions emerged.

Executions: ISIS themselves has also been attacked for carrying out even more brutal executions, such as the ones from mid-June pictured above where militants marched up and down rows of bodies shooting them

Firing squad: However, HRW said that the brutality of ISIS does not excuse Iraq forces of adopting similar tactics in their fight against them

One man was shown being forced to kneel by the roadside before he was shot in the back of the head, while other gruesome pictures emerged of militants marching up and down rows of prone bodies apparently firing machine guns into them.
The claims against Iraqi forces came as their grip on the country slipped further with the advance of Kurdish security forces into disputed oil fields.
The takeover of the Bai Hassan and Kirkuk oil fields were the latest land grabs by Kurds, who have responded to ISIS by seizing more territory of their own.
Kurdish fighters known as peshmerga pushed into the city of Kirkuk, a major hub for the oil industry in the north, and the surrounding area weeks ago.

Aftermath: Security forces stand guard this morning after the attacks just outside of the disputed city

But until now they had not moved into the oil fields themselves. On Friday, however, the fighters took over the Bai Hassan and Kirkuk fields and expelled local workers, the Oil Ministry in Baghdad said.
Oil Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad denounced the move as 'a violation to the constitution' and warned that it poses 'a threat to national unity.'
The Kurdish Regional Government said its forces moved to secure the fields after learning of what it said were orders by officials in the Oil Ministry to sabotage a pipeline linking oil facilities in the area.
It said production would continue, and that staff can return but will operate under Kurdish management.
Ties between Kurds and the central Baghdad government are rapidly unravelling as the country fragments in the face of the Sunni militant blitz, led by Islamic State extremists.

Expansion: The accusations came as peshmerga fighters from the autonomous Kurdish region of Iraq took control of lucrative oil fields just outside the city of Kirkuk

The country is effectively being cleaved along ethnic and sectarian lines - the swath of militant-held Sunni areas, the Shiite-majority south and center ruled by the Shiite-led government in Baghdad and the Kurdish north.
The United States and other world powers, as well as Iraq's top Shi'ite cleric, have pressed for a more inclusive government that Iraqis of all stripes can rally around.
On Friday, Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani again urged lawmakers to move swiftly toward a compromise, calling on them to 'rise above selfish aims.'
He said: 'The challenges ... threaten civil peace and the unity of the social fabric and forecast a divided and disputed future for Iraq.'

[h=1]Now even the Taliban warns ISIS Islamist rebels in Iraq to 'avoid extremism' as it calls for a new council of jihadi factions to keep them on the same page[/h]
  • Terrorists in Afghanistan posted message urging ISIS to calm down
  • Said they should not 'distrust' other Muslims and avoid conflict
  • ISIS has previously been disowned by al-Qaeda because of its extremism
  • Warning came in a message urging a jihadist council to be formed
  • ISIS, which has declared an Islamic 'Caliphate' state in Iraq, is gaining power
Taliban militants in Afghanistan have warned ISIS insurgents fighting in Iraq to 'avoid extremism' in a plea for unity among jihadists.
It urged the Sunni faction, which has been waging a bloody insurgency against Shi'ite Muslim groups in Iraq, to avoid 'distrusting' other Islamist groups.
Commanders of the al-Qaeda-linked group also pleaded with the fighters of ISIS, which recently declared an Islamic 'Caliphate' in its captured territory, to respect the rule of law.

Warned: ISIS fighters (pictured parading through Raqqa in Syria) were told to 'avoid extremism' by members of the Afghan Taliban

Fractious: The militant group was urged to join a council with other jihadist factions and not to 'distrust' them

ISIS began life as an offshoot of al-Qaeda, but was disowned by the global terror network after bolstering its strength by merging with other groups in Syria.
The call for unity was uploaded to the Afghan Taliban's website this week. It did not name ISIS directly, but clearly referred to the group, who are now thought to be the world's most powerful jihadists.
The message, originally in Arabic, said: 'It is worthy for a shurah (consultation) council to be formed from the leaders of all the jihadi factions and the distinguished people among the experts and the scholars in Sham (Syria) in order to solve their conflicts.'
'Muslims also should avoid extremism in religion, and judging others without evidence, and distrusting one another,' it said.

.'They should avoid conflict and dispute, and not think their opinions are better than others. Mercy and compassion should prevail.'On June 29, ISIS announced that it had renamed itself the Islamic State and proclaimed its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi their 'Caliph', or head of state.
The group had fallen out with al-Qaeda over its expansion into Syria, where it has carried out beheadings, crucifixions, and mass executions.
In recent weeks, ISIS has overrun the Iraqi city of Mosul and advanced towards the capital Baghdad. In Syria they have captured territory in the north and east, along the border with Iraq.
Taliban spokesmen in both Pakistan and Afghanistan declined to comment on al-Baghdadi's claim to be the global leader of all Muslims. The Afghan and Pakistani Taliban are separate but allied.

Armed and dangerous: The well-financed militants of ISIS are the world's most powerful jihadist force

Privately, some commanders said that they did not want to anger al-Qaeda, whom they considered a long-time ally in the fight against NATO troops in the region.
Some Taliban, including some of the younger commanders, were enthusiastic about ISIS.
Pakistan's own insurgency is on the back foot after the military launched an offensive against the Taliban's key stronghold last month.
Most senior commanders are in hiding. Drone strikes have depleted many of the Taliban's and al-Qaeda's most experienced and charismatic commanders.
One Pakistani militant commander in his thirties told reporters: 'We are happy with the great efforts of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Dozens of my colleagues from here are with them. Soon Sham and Iraq will be Islamic states'.
'I like the way of fighting ... it is very effective. We need that here in Pakistan. Many of our fighters have gone there.'
Another, younger man added: 'We like the modern way of there fighting, it is really a holy war, God send us there.'

[h=1]Report: Attacks by terror group Boko Haram increasing, 2,053 killed this year[/h] Published July 15, 2014FoxNews.com

A new report detailing the extent to which the radical Islamist group Boko Haram is using brutality and murder to spread terror among Nigerian villages reveals that 2,053 people have been killed in 95 attacks in the first half of 2014.
Human Rights Watch, which authored the report, also said that the militant Islamist group is increasing its use of bombs, detonating 14 explosions that killed 423 people during that same period.

The blasts, including several apparent suicide bombings, occurred in a brothel, a technical college, marketplaces and, on two occasions, in venues where people were watching soccer matches.
In other attacks, armed Boko Haram militia opened fire in places of worship and elsewhere in the West African nation.
In May, gunmen allegedly descended on the twin towns of Gamboru-Ngala in armored personnel carriers stolen from the Nigerian military and killed 336 people.
In April, the organization kidnapped 276 girls from a school in Chibok.
The multi-nation effort to find the children has failed, despite international outrage and support, including the social media campaign #BringBackOurGirls.
Boko Haram leaders reportedly are willing to return the young women in exchange for members being held in Nigerian prisons, but such a deal appears highly unlikely.
In addition, recovery seems nearly impossible considering the young women and their captors are hiding within hundreds of miles of dense terrain. And officials say a rescue operation would likely result in the deaths of too many of the young women.
A video obtained Monday by the news media and thought to be made by Boko Harman appears to show fighters mocking the social media campaign.
The State Department last year designated Boko Haram as a terrorist organization. The agency has yet to respond to a question Tuesday about the search.
Human Rights Watch says its numbers are based on field investigations and media reports and that the attacks on civilians stretched across more than 70 towns and villages in northeastern Nigeria, including the federal capital, Abuja.
The group reports three attacks in Abuja, which it says suggests Boko Haram is expanding operations southward. But most of the attacks and casualties appeared to have taken place in Borno State, the birthplace of Boko Haram, where 1,446 people died.
“Boko Haram is effectively waging war on the people of northeastern Nigeria at a staggering human cost,” said Corinne Dufka, the group’s West Africa director.
Widespread poverty, government corruption and lawlessness in the region has given rise to such armed militant groups as Boko Haram, which formed in 2009 and has since tried to impose its authority under Shariah Islamic law.
“The nature and frequency of the attacks indicate the actions of an organized movement,” Human Rights Watch says. “This is evidenced by the presence of convoys of trucks, motorbikes and occasionally armored personnel carriers with well-armed gunmen.

Four Syrian men were publicly executed by jihadist militants in an Iraqi town for allegedly spying for President Bashar al-Assad's regime.

Rebels fighting for the Islamic State (ISIS) brought the men to a main street in Al-Qaim, near Iraq's border with Syria, in a convoy of trucks on Sunday, witnesses said.
One militant then announced that they were spies for Assad's regime, which ISIS is fighting in Syria, and the men, with their hands bound, were shot dead one by one

Their bodies were taken away by ambulance and Dr Mustafa Shawqi from the Al-Qaim hospital confirmed the deaths, according to the AFP news agency.
The report came as the Iraqi army launched a fresh assault today to try to retake the militant-held northern Iraqi city of Tikrit, according to an officer and a soldier involved in the attack.
