I think we would be a happier country if we had never encouraged mass immigration in the post-war era.

[h=1]“We’re the Muslims, we will blow you up”: Series of Muslim attacks on Paris Jews[/h] Robert Spencer Jun 16, 2014 at 6:46pm France, Islamic antisemitism 75 Comments
Analysts routinely think that attacks like these happen because of the conflict between Israel and the “Palestinians,” but in reality the enmity goes much deeper than that. Hatred of Jews is deeply ingrained in the Qur’an, which calls Jews “the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers” (5:82), and says that they “have been put under humiliation wherever they are overtaken, except for a covenant from Allah and a rope from the Muslims. And they have drawn upon themselves anger from Allah and have been put under destitution. That is because they disbelieved in the verses of Allah and killed the prophets without right. That is because they disobeyed and transgressed.” (3:110) It says that Allah transformed the disobedient Jews into apes and pigs (2:63-65; 5:59-60; 7:166). It says that they say Ezra is Allah’s son, and are consequently accursed (9:30). And there are many other passages heaping contempt and scorn upon them. In a context in which believers are exhorted to make war against the perceived enemies of the religion, that’s dangerous incitement.
“Men, apparently armed, threaten Paris cops outside synagogue,” JTA, June 16, 2014 (thanks to Pamela Geller):
Two men pointed what looked like firearms at police stationed outside a Paris synagogue in part of a weekend string of anti-Semitic incidents in and near the French capital.
The incident involving the police officers occurred on June 14 outside the synagogue on Julien Lacroix Street in eastern Paris’s 20th arrondissement, according to a report posted on Sunday on the website of the National League for Vigilance Against anti-Semitism, or BVCA.
The two men approached the police officers on heavy motorcycles when one of them produced what appeared to be a handgun and pointed it at one police officer while shouting “bang bang.” His accomplice did the same with what appeared to be an AK-47 assault rifle before escaping. The synagogue was empty at the time of the incident.
Other weekend incidents included two assaults of Jews on the metro. In one incident on June 12, a Jewish man and woman were the target of anti-Semitic taunts by three passengers, which escalated into a physical assault of the Jewish man.
The harassment of the two Jews began after they boarded a metro train at Cité Universitaire in central Paris. A man who appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent confronted them and, according to the BNVCA report, called them “dirty Jews” declaring: “I’m a Nazi, I’m German, long live Hitler, we’re going to gas you, he didn’t finish the job.” He also said: “Jews created the crisis and now there are poor people.”
The man was joined by a younger woman who reportedly praised him for “telling the truth.” A third passenger then hit the Jewish man in the leg while the woman shouted: “We’re the Muslims, we will blow you up.”
An hour earlier, a Jewish girl, 14, was assaulted while traveling on a metro to her Jewish school in the 19th arrodissement in northeastern Paris. Three young girls and an adolescent, whom she described as having African and Middle Eastern appearance, pushed the girl around and said “fuck your whole race.”
On June 14, various objects including a knife were hurled into the interior yard of a synagogue in Garges les Gonesses, a northern suburb of Paris. The objects were thrown down at the synagogue from apartments around the place of worship, BNVCA wrote. The synagogue was not damaged and no one was hurt.

My experience at the 2014 GOP convention

Heba Said The Shorthorn staff | Posted: Wednesday, June 11, 2014 12:00 am
My heart palpitated with the unnerved feeling I had just from the thought of attending a Republican convention as a veiled Muslim woman.
place_holder.png
It is not news that Republicans don’t seem to like Muslims. As close as the city of Keller, and as recently as last week, Trustee Jo Lynn Haussmann wrote on her Facebook page “SOUTH LAKE - Do you realize because SO FEW voters took the time and responsibility to VOTE in the municipal elections - YOU NOW HAVE A ‘MUSLIM’ on the City Council!!! What A SHAME!!!!!”
The comments have since been deleted and referred to Southlake councilman Shahid Shafi.
With influences such as Pamela Gellar and Pat Robertson, it is no wonder that Republicans are so easily associated with Anti-Islam sentiments, the instigation of Islamophobia and outright hatred toward Muslims.
After two days at the convention, the only emotions I could describe were anger and disappointment.
I attended the convention as a reporter hoping to tell readers about the panel discussions I attended, but I discovered a cult-like hatred that is simply disgusting.
As I walked through the halls, people stopped in their tracks and frowned and shook their heads at me. Panelists threw the word “Islamist” around as if it were perfectly OK, and one man even asked if I felt alone at a meeting. I was referred to as “you people” and “y’all Muslims” more times than I can count. The worst part was the way delegates looked at me, as if I were something to fear when I approached them.
The Muslim voter was disregarded completely in discussions on how to tackle politically engaging religious minority groups. So as a reporter, I asked, how the Republican party plans to reach out to the eighth largest Muslim population in the United States. The sheer lack of regard for that population was appalling.
After discussing with one candidate whether there were Muslim outreach plans, I almost didn’t feel like I was allowed to be American, as if what he said stripped me from my American identity. He asked me where I was from. When I responded, “Texas,” he asked me where I was really from, as if there were no way it could possibly be from Texas.
Ted Cruz attended the event and took photos with his supporters. As I waited for him to return from a phone call so that I could grab some photos to tweet out, a police officer nearby came up to me and said hello. I responded hello. A normal interaction, I guess. Shortly after, I found five police officers behind me, hands on holsters watching me intently. Armed with a press badge and an iPhone, I turned to them held up my media credentials and asked if I could help them with something, as my heart tried to escape my chest. They did not respond but broke up into groups of two and continued watching me. If I was the biggest threat at that convention, then I must be seriously underestimating myself.
I cannot believe how a piece of cloth made from cotton and polyester can instill so many misconceptions in people.
I am still angered by the experience. I have the constitutional right to be a Muslim, and no one, not even Ted Cruz or five police officers, has the right to make me feel inferior. They definitely do not have any right to hate not just Muslims, but any race, creed or population. My vote may not be on your agenda, but my vote counts as much as anybody’s who votes in this country.
To the man who followed me into the IHOP bathroom after calling me a terrorist, to the woman who said she would see me in Hell at the grocery store, to the girl who pulled my hijab off my head during a fire drill in ninth grade, and to the hundreds of people who have asked me where I’m really from — I am an American. The question is, are you?

[h=1]AUSTRALIA: Black Balloon anti-Islam campaign has leftist dhimmis in a tizzie[/h] [h=2]
Metallic-Black-e1403068301974.jpg
An anti-Islam group has sent an anonymous email to all Bendigo media outlets, local politicians and prominent media commentators claiming it was behind the black balloons that have mysteriously appeared across central Bendigo. The email has ended weeks of speculation about what the balloons mean and who is behind them.[/h] [h=4]Bendigo Advertiser The first line of the email states that the “black balloon campaign was established by those who are against the legislated inequality and abuse in our Western society of women and children”. It says Islamic influence, especially in relation to abuse of women and children, is “creeping into our Western culture”. It says Western communities are being “forced to accept cultures like Islam”. [/h]
Bendigo-black-balloons-e1403068382847.png

[h=4]The final line of the email reads: “The view of the black balloon supporters is to accept Islam into our community is endorsing domestic and child abuse in our community.” The email also says it is a “misconception” that the views expressed are “racist”.[/h] [h=4]Bendigo’s Centre for Non-Violence chief executive Margaret Augerinos said the group’s views were racist. “I don’t believe that it’s an acceptable view to hold,” Ms Augerinos said. Ms Augerinos said it was wrong to single out a particular cultural group.[/h] [h=4]“We know that violence occurs across all classes and cultures,” she said. She said her organisation provided services to women of all cultural backgrounds. “We see men who perpetrate violence from all cultural backgrounds and this is a universal problem that occurs across the world at epidemic rates,” she said.[/h]

[h=4]Maya Avdibegovic is the chief executive of Intouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence, a Melbourne-based family violence support service for women and children from migrant families. “I just find it appalling and I’m really outraged by things like this,” Ms Avdibegovic said.[/h] [h=4]“I think where culture plays a role in this whole issue, is that it adds to the complexity of the issues,” she said. “Culture is never an excuse for violence.” (Tell that to Muslim men)[/h] [h=2]

Back in January 2014, there was a push to stop construction of a mosque with a Facebook page called ‘Stop the Mosque in Bendigo.’ The administrators of the group did not respond to a request for comment and made a post saying they did not want to deal with the inevitable Leftist/Muslim backlash.[/h] [h=4]Bendigo Advertiser The page said the media was “aligned with the left and will not give a true and correct report”, and the “about” section said it was not a forum for debate. “It is for those who don’t not want a mosque in Bendigo for their own reasons,” it said. “We live in a democracy and we are exercising our right to say ‘no’ to what happens in our country.[/h] [h=4]“We are entitled to our views and request that the City of Greater Bendigo stops the mosque based on historical evidence that not one community in the world has benefited in a positive way from a mosque and Muslims setting up camp in a community.”[/h] [h=4]But Councillors have unanimously said they are not opposed to the mosque on religious or cultural grounds.

Man says apartment complex called his US flag a ‘threat to Muslim community’

Posted on Jun 19, 2014 at 3:36 PM in Politics | 5 Comments

By The Right Scoop

A man claims that his apartment complex told him to take down his US Flag because it was a threat to the Muslim community. However, when asked about it by reporters, the apartment complex management would barely talk to reporters, only to give them a written statement.

The reporters also noted that they had seen other patriotic symbols hanging from other balconies and said Tran, the flag owner, was going to keep his flag hanging on his balcony until the management proved he could not do it.

Watch:

Generally speaking, most apartment complexes put language in their leases that tell you what you can and can’t do with your outside balconies. The apartment complex has the right to tell you to take something down if it takes away from the beautification of entire complex and the lease should back them up on it.

To be fair, that flag was huge and was simply draped over his balcony. It wasn’t hanging from a flag pole which would have probably looked better.

And aside from the ‘threat to the Muslim community’ comment which is very strange, I’d say he’s probably going to have to take it down.

A 21-year-old woman was raped and hanged from a tree in Pakistan, police said, in a case bearing a chilling resemblance to a spate of similar attacks that sparked outrage in neighbouring India.

The woman’s boyfriend of six months, named by police as Muhammad Saqib, confessed to the rape and murder and has been taken into custody, police said.

Saqib admitted he tried to force the woman – the daughter of blind parents – to have sex with two of his friends, according to police. When she refused, investigators said the pair argued.

The woman, whom he allegedly had promised to marry, was found hanging from a tree the next morning.

Police are still looking for the two alleged accomplices.
