Oh no you didn't!

Experts who rate such stuff say he was the greatest going out to short right for balls.

Won Rookie of the Year.
Won an MVP.
Was a ten time All Star.
Hall of Famer

Won *seven* consecutive silver sluggers awards while winning *seven* consecutive gold gloves (total of nine for his career)

So that would make him the best defensive second baseman while being the most productive offensive second baseman of his generation.

Hit .385 in ten postseason games.
Not his fault his teams basicly sucked.

Oh, did I mention he is my all time favorite player.

Why?

Job Chamberlain

Peoople are saying Tebow is the greatest college player ever. He has already lost 5 games as a starter. Danny Wureffel lost only 6 in 4 years and won the SEC every year. Tebow wasn't even the starter on the 1st National Title team and now he is the greatest player ever.

Tom Brady.... system QB with a great defense when he won the three Super Bowls.... isn't it funny in 2007 the Patriots had the best offense and went 16-0. But Brady set his records against teams in his division that went 7-9 (Bills), 4-12 (Jets), and 1-15 (Dolphins) and fouled to win the Super Bowl. People always say Brady is better then Manning.... If you give Manning the defenses that Brady has had over his career Manning has 3 if not more Super Bowls. Its no secret the year the Colts won the Super Bowl they had a better defense then the Patriots. Defense is the reason the Patriots won the Super Bowls that they won. I am not taking nothing away from those Patriot teams as a whole because they were great. But Tom Brady does not deserve to be called one of the best of all time.

Not sure how a 3 time MVP and Super Bowl and 1st ballot Hall of Famer winner can be overrated. Dan Marino and his whining is the most overrated player I have ever seen. Throw a pick in a big game and then point the finger at everyone else.

Bill Belichek has never made the playoff in NE without Tom Brady. So, maybe it Bellichoke that's overrated. He never won a thing in Cleveland without TB

Under 30 yes. Elway got to three Super Bowls in one of the weakest conferences ever. The late 1980's AFC was laughable. There is a reason that the NFC won every Super Bowl from 84-96. The entire AFC was mediocre. Look at some of those teams. Fucking Mark Malone led a team to the AFC Title Game, Bernie Kosar led the Browns to two.

Elway is a top 10 qb, that is true. The #1 talk is ridiculous though.

First 10 years in the NFL, Elway had one more TD than INT. One. He had horrible postseason stats as well.

One year, he had a QB rating over 80. One. Now QB rating isn't the be all/end all but it is important.

One more thing, Elway threw a motherfucking ton of INTs. Check out his INT ratio and compare it to other QB's from those years. Always had one of the higher numbers.

You mention Rating which as we can see Elway wasnt the greatest at ... However you fail to mention WINS which is the single most important stat in the NFL and during the time you mention above - Elways record was 82-59-1 ...62.6 winning % which translates to a 10-6 season. Im not the biggest fan of Johns either, but to call him overated ... All this guy did was do whatever it took to win games ... Lets not forget his 33 career rushing TDS and 4.4 yd average ... and the 6th most yds rushing by a QB in NFL history. He had the Arm , the Legs and the Will to win ... thats overated. LMAO. I dont think so. Go back to the Almanac Hines and get back to us.

No Pro-Bowls, he's a 3rd down back. Would be 2nd or 3rd round pick if drafted today not 2nd overall pick who was supposed to go 1st. This fool has commercials, magazine covers, etc... and hasn't done shit

Was supposed to be the next Gale Sayers, Barry Sanders, Marshall Faulk, LT, etc... Hes not even Darren Sproles

If you take out Tom Brady and replace him with Dan Marino on any of the three Super Bowl teams..... Marino wins those games.

The argument that give Manning the defense that Brady had and he would have won a super bowl is bogus. I can say, take the defense away from the Patriots and give Brady the receivers that Manning had and he could of won a ring. St. Louis won a ring because on offense (Warner, Faulk, Holt, Bruce), Manning didn't do it early on with Harrison, James, Wayne, etc.

Don't forget, Brady was throwing to Troy Brown, David Patten, Bethel Johnson, JJ Stokes, David Givens and Deon Branch...

Perhaps Brady makes people look better. He got Belicheck a reputation as a genius, ask Cleveland and Jet fans their thoughts on him before... He got Givens and Branch big deals in Tennessee and Seattle and Givens was a bust, Branch was good not great.. Moss is a stud but with Brady he is a record setter.Oh yeh when Brady when won his first two rings his running back was Antowain Smith.

What about the clutch factor? Say what you want but that Rams drive was special and he made come backs seem inevitable.

blaming the Giants loss on him is a bit unfair considering that you say he won his rings because of the Patriots defense, but they lost because of Brady. Rediculous!!

Asante Samual got burned one too many times, Rodney Harrison couldn't pry ball loose from the helmet of Tyree. Referee was 1 second from blowing whistle on Eli being down and Plaxico beat Hobbs for a touchdown for the WIN after Brady hit moss for the go ahead touchdown, where Brady came through again..

Also do not forget, yeh:

Cassell led pats to 11-5 but he couldn't lead him to playoffs. He had 5 games in which he threw 3 or more touchdowns, but 6 games when he threw zero and 5 more in which he threw only 1.

Knocking Brady is the easy thing to do because everyone loves to hate the best but it simply is not a valid argument, like him or hate him, he is among the games greatest QBs. Is he better than Peyton Manning? Now thats debateable but if I was building a team for 1 game, If i had 1st pick I take Brady, if I have 2nd, I will not be mad taking Manning, these two are so far ahead of anyone else in the league its not funny.

It's Derek Jeter, by far and this isn't even a contest. He's hits for average and that's all he's ever done. Statistically he's a sub-par fielder, he doesn't hit for power and is only glorified because of the great teams he has been on.

Oh, and by the way, he's not Mr. Clutch, or Mr. October/November, his stats in those months and the postseason are satisfactory at best. If he played on the Rockies, or Padres his whole career you would never even have known his name.

Did Brady win a Super Bowl the year he had the best offense and best wide receiver crew (Moss, Stallworth, and Welker) in the NFL? No. Its all about the system. Brady had the best receivers in the league and couldn't win. I am not saying Brady is a bad QB I am saying he is overrated thats all.

Ryan Howard.

He'll retire as a career .260 hitter with a lot of home runs who led the league every year in strikeouts and was an average fielder. Yet, every September, there will be plenty of blind fans and sportswriters who claim him to be the league MVP.
