I think that is how anyone who watched basketball would see it

Scottie, MJ, Ron Harper and Rodman did make a great defensive 4-some

I gotta disagree with your opinion on saves. His two blown saves in 97 and 2001 prevented the Yankess from winning five in a row!! I think most Braves fans will disagree with you.

That's a purely subjective point of view, no?

Agree.....Elway is way over rated. If you blindly looked at QB stats and picked your quarterback.....Steve Young would be the choice....knowing who they are I wanted to say Joe Montana.

For all the Elway lovers that argue about all his great fourth quarter comebacks....here is what I have to say.....why were you behind so often that you had to make a comeback? Elway fans will argue he has 2 Superbowl rings...that is true. He finally got those when he didn't pass most of the game. I can name a ton of quarterbacks that I would never want to be QB's on my team but they won Super Bowl Rings...so is Eli a great QB...no.

These sorts of discussions are almost always stupid

If anyone rates Elway as the very best QB ever, he is being vastly overrated. If anyone rates him much outside the top 10, he is being vastly underrated. To make a claim about someone being overrated or underrated without giving any hint about where he is rated is just pulling idiotic comments out of your ass and being willfully stupid

Thank for saving me the time to respond .

Dan Marino was a great regular season QB, but was a big time CHOKER in the playoffs. I don't want to hear about how he didn't have a running game or a defense. He had so many horrible games in the playoffs. That is a fact.

Career Playoff Record:
Marino 8-10
Elway 14-8

AFC Championship:
Marino 1-2
Elway 5-1

Super Bowl:
Marino 0-1
Elway 2-3

Regular season stats don't mean shit. Anyway you slice it, Elway was a better QB than Marino.

Trent Dilfer 1-0 Super bowls. He is better than both?

11 guys on the field at one time. No one QB will win any game ever. Hasn't happened as of yet and never will happen. I don't care how good you are.

you get 100 football fans in the same room and ask which QB is the greatest ever ... you will never get a unanimous decision.

In 1983, the 12-4 Dolphins had the # 1 defense in the league, allowing 15.6 pts. per game. Yet, they lost on their home field to the 9-7 Seahawks 20-27.

Marino got outplayed by Dave "little hands" Krieg in the 4th qtr.

Choke # 1.

so?

Is that the only upset in NFL history?

There's a saying .... "Any Given Sunday" and that came about for a reason. So unless it was Krieg and Marino dueling it out solo on the field or they were playing tennis, Seattle outplayed Miami is a more accurate description.

When it comes to Marino, all I ever hear is that the reason he didn't win a Super Bowl is because he didn't have a running game or defense. I say bullshit. He was a choker in the playoffs. They had the best defense in the NFL that year and lost to a weaker team on their home field.

1996 playoffs Denver is the number one seed and lose at home to Jacksonville. Elway is not even a top 10 quarterback all time. At least Marino doesn't have three Super Bowl loses. Elway = over rated

Would it be better to lose earlier than the superbowl?

That's not all you ever hear. He never won a superbowl. Ya that's a shame. There are some incredible players that fall in that category. Only ONE TEAM wins it every year. No one player has gone out there and won a super bowl by himself and no TEAM has ever won it without a million things going right that whole year.

as far as that season in 1983 goes. Marino was a rookie that became the starter in week 5 and the team won 9 of 11 once he took over. The loss to Seattle was due to the large part to back-to-back fumbles by Miami's kick returner late in the 4th. Marino never choked.
